It may be difficult to sleep with the light shining so brightly throughout the night, but the participants can rest easy knowing they will not be plagued by unwanted, disturbing dreams. Early the next day, a bell chimes and all will feel compelled to enter the main meeting hall.

The hall looks mostly the same as it always has, the two thrones for Lune and Sol at the head of the room and scrolls hanging from the walls. The metal box sits on a table near the front, along with the glass boxes perfectly centered before the benches in the room. Now that the trial is in session, Swift Wind and Hisoka's coffins are open, and their bodies will be available for examination.

Lune and Sol are seated in their thrones, patiently waiting for the last participant to settle. It's only when everyone has gathered that Sol speaks first.

"We've got a lot of ground to cover today. Don't give up."

They stop, glancing at Lune and gesturing for them to say their piece.

"Face the truth directly, and don't turn away from what you may find."

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the fourth trial!

We'll go over a few notes briefly as we will be playing this trial a bit differently than other games.

As noted, there was no investigation period on Friday. However, today participants will have the chance to investigate areas in the game setting as they see fit! This can be done by providing the name of the location you want to visit to the host header comment. To help with the ease of the trial and for IC mechanics, only one location may be visited at a time. In addition, these locations can be manipulated and adjusted upon request to test theories and solve puzzles, so please feel free to ask if you're searching for clues! Your host will also be accompanying you on these visits.

Most importantly, before the trial is over, please place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

He was trying to convince me you'd been corrupted.

It wasn't like that. He had... his reasons.

It's evidence we need. There's no shame in admitting that.

His whole body would have been rock. Blood and all. Lune said to think of it as hardening the skin, and what's beneath it aside from vital organs into the consistency of rock.

That he hadn't been the only one who'd lied to me about their element. I hadn't asked anyone else publicly besides you.

[ During the first trial.

... Everything we learn about this guy just makes me more relieved he's dead.

It doesn't change that your items were tampered with - but Swift Wind was the only corrupted last week. The only options are that you were lying... which I don't want to believe that you were....

[a pause]

... Or you were framed.

But why would your partner do that to you?

Then there we have our answer. Can't bleed if even your blood has turned solid.

[Sol is going to stare at Val from under the hood before stomping off to go sit in one of the seats very far away, bye.

The hoofprints actually look like the horse was taking a nice leisurely walk. They lead from here to the farmland, but they can also see that the hoofprints lead back toward the houses. However, there are also a lot of other slightly unidentifiable prints mixed in with the debris.

As Axel and Val approach, they'll find that the food left out matches the food that's been spread and knocked around. It includes things like: chocolate apples covered in almonds, apple nachos, chocolate apple pie, mushroom apple salad, mushroom apple pierogies, and some alcohol. Some of these might be harder to identify because everything's been trampled on and scattered around, but some looking will help. The alcohol is knocked over and spilled, bottles on the floor. There's also a cup that's on the table, knocked over as well. The food seems normal, but the cup if Val sniffs, despite being empty, does have that slight cyanide lingering scent.]

[that clown is SO lucky he's already dead.

four will definitely feel a little flare of aimless anger, there, and after that?

he exhales a very annoyed sigh, and twines a little stream of water through his spread fingers.]

He really must have known something would happen to him, to have been so willing to say so.

[dodging consequences for this through dying, like an asshole,]

I don't know. I don't understand anything about how that guy works.

[forefall]

Would he....?

[ She looks over at Shirasu wherever the heck he is since Four refuses to be next to him this week. ]

I don't know. That's something you'd have to ask him.
