As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

Minato hides his rocket in his bag so the sheep can't see it and turn them away. ]

[ well this is terrible

but time to head over to the blimp. onward, onward, in her fursuit. ]

[ Onward... Somehow, miraculously, nobody calls park security on them to haul them away, so they're let up into the blimp smuggling their rocket in like some sort of terrorist. Minato motions for Naminé to follow him to the rear of the deck, away from any prying eyes. ]

We'll have to wait until we're at the very top. Shouldn't be more than fifteen minutes after we take off.

[ she nods her furry head, because minato has never given her reason to think maybe this is a bad idea, ever, ]

Naminé's trust in him is misplaced, but appreciated. He leans his back against the glass walls of the deck and looks out the window at everything outside. He'd already asked Naminé her favorite place, so this time, it's ]

[ Got it. Minato shuffles over to position himself more towards that side.

Those regular, non-circus buildings in town are where they're going to aim the rockets. ]

[ WOW I WISH SOMEONE HAD TAUGHT HER FIREWORKS SAFETY BEFORE THIS THREAD HAPPENED

she gestures again though, because she assumes people? live there??? ]

[ Haha, yeah.

Minato just smiles at her, because he has no idea what that means. ]

Yeah, I'm excited too.

[ is that how he felt last week when doing charades

she points at the rocket this time ]

[ Minato was having a great time doing charades.

He looks down at the rocket and shakes his head. ]

Not yet. It'll be best if we wait until we're high enough in the sky. For safety, you know.

[ Fireworks safety, Naminé..... ]

[whitewalls]

[ oh. safety.

she'll nod. that sounds right, maybe. she has no idea how far these things go. ]

[ Safety is very important. Today, Minato will be a good senpai who waits until they're way up in the air to crack a window open. I don't know how blimps work?? I'm just assuming that there are windows and maybe the windows open slightly to let the air in, it won't be wide enough for anybody to accidentally fall through, but just enough to shoot some rockets out of. ]

This looks about high enough... Here, why don't you aim first. Right there.

[ He gestures vaguely down at the buildings. ]

I bet people could see them all the way up here... I'll light the end up for you when you're ready.

[whitewalls]

[ well, the good news is that if naminé is the one who's aiming, it won't hit the buildings because she'll feel too bad to point at them.

like, it may get too close to the town for comfort, but we won't have to inform the mods we accidentally blew up the setting. it's fine.

but she takes it and will try to aim... and then nods. ]

[compendiem]

[ Teej's plurk just reminded me that Shirasu is under house arrest so if they set the houses on fire he would die. I guess the town can live for another day.

Minato sits next to her and holds out his hand, where a pool of lava forms in his hand. ]

[whitewalls]

[ annnnd it's lit!

and, according to the word of god (dana), the blimp doesn't immediately explode because they lit a rocket in it. even more thankfully, naminé does not aim it at the houses because even if she trusts minato, she does not trust rockets. so it goes flying and...

well. it explodes. very close to the houses, actually, but not in them so if anyone is down there they're probably going a horrible surprise as a loud as hell rocket goes off near them, but nothing catches on fire and shirasu does not burn to death. ]

[compendiem]

[ I'm glad they both survived and don't ruin the blimp experience on a Monday. The rocket explodes in the air and Minato wishes they'd picked up more than just one rocket each, because it's a little disappointing, even though it's pretty.

And then it's his turn! He only has one hand to do this with, because he's still holding the lava with his other, so his aim is a little bit off and it explodes over the...

minato will hear what sounds like a very muffled gasp, but it's fine, the farm doesn't blow up but there will be a lot of very startled and frightened farm animals so hopefully kara is not down there right now. he may be on a warpath if he is. ]

[ Oh my god KARA MUST NEVER LEARN ABOUT THIS ]

Oh... Hm. [ Minato looks a little guilty, but ] I hope they like fireworks...

[ the smallest of shrugs, which actually isn't that small because she's in a fursuit.

but it's fine, this is fine. they may get kicked out of this blimp though. ]

[ I would laugh if the sheep just opened a hatch and kicked them out at 2340958783 feet in the air. Unfortunately, everybody's got to suffer the two of them as they sit here with, idk, I'm assuming whatever the rocket launches out of will still be in their hands, smoking, and Minato has to let the lava go somewhere so he just pours it into a corner and hope it cools before it eats a hole in the ground. Do blimps have smoke detectors? Maybe it triggers the ceiling sprinklers and they turn on. ]

[ apparently this one does, so they are now going off. minato is getting rained on and naminé is going to be in a wet mascot costume.

....

could be worse, probably. ]

[ Oh. Well. Now he's got to change his bandages all over again, but he'd have gotten two showers in one day, so that's something. Minato carefully opens some more of the windows so the water can drain out and rain on the party below. ]

[ she will raise both of her arms so that they're now over minato, as a makeshift umbrella

it doesn't really work since he still gets wet but it's somewhat less wet than before? so. ]
