As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

Not all day. [But that's fair.] But we don't have Personas or murders or magic or any of these things a lot of people here do. We're just starting our second year of high school. There's nothing life-threatening about that.

You should already know from your first year: high school is one of the scariest thing there is. Maybe not life-threatening, but it can definitely change your life forever.

Life-changing, yes. Scary? Not exactly. [Give him a moment to think.] I've attended the same school my entire life with the same classmates every year. Is it really that intimidating?

[compendiem]

Like... clubs, and college exams, and stuff... But maybe it's easier when you're with the same people. I've never known anybody longer than one year.

[twinsightful]

Our campus has a university division, and I'm near the top of my class. [So exams don't worry him.] ...did you just move schools a lot or did you not really have friends?

[compendiem]

[ Kaoru being at the top of his class is surprising, somehow. But I guess not really, because Minato also somehow miraculously ranks first in his year, but only so he could social link his senpai. ]

Both, I guess. I didn't mind it... starting over... being a blank slate all the time. There's good in that too.

[He's a dumb twink but he's also very smart according to the manga.]

But doesn't that get frustrating to not be able to make a name for yourself? Starting over continually sounds annoying.

[compendiem]

Not... really? That sort of stuff was never important to me.

[ Nothing is important. Which makes things so easy, because then he doesn't get frustrated or upset about anything because he just doesn't care. ]

...[There's a soft laugh.] That's the one part I don't get about you. I don't know if it's admirable, or weird.

[compendiem]

[ If Kaoru understands everything else about Minato besides that one part, that's an incredible feat. ]

I dunno about admirable... It's something hard to understand because you're the opposite? What sort of name do you want to make for yourself?

[twinsightful]

Possibly. I just want to be well known and remembered, but our family name already is. Perhaps it's just tradition then.

[compendiem]

...I don't know much about family or traditions, but I think you'll do well. The world is a huge place, so being well known doesn't take all that much. And... I think you're the sort of person who'll always be remembered by anybody you meet.

[twinsightful]

...[Oh. He blinks in surprise because he was kind of just bullshitting, but that's actually sort of...nice?]

Thanks, Minato. [A half-smile.] I'll be sure to remember you when I'm famous then, just for that.
