As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

It could be a little shorter, I think, since finding something my height may be troublesome. What about like a broom or something?

That would work. I'll look for one.

[I'm going to pretend there's probably one somewhere because it's a circus, and while she does that he gives her a thumbs up and begins moving the cannon around to position it in the angle he wants.]

Handle side in first or bristle side?

Let's do handle first. That'll probably fit best and the bristles can act as the "head" in this experiment.

Not bad. It's more powerful than I thought, for something that seems to be used for entertainment.

It might be a little too powerful. Usually when someone's shot out of a cannon they have a landing pad that isn't the side of the circus tent. The calibration may be off, but I don't really know how to fix that. Physics is more Hikaru's field than mine.

It could also be that the broom itself is light. Do we have anything heavier? [Like an actual cannonball, maybe?]

People shouldn't be shot out of cannons. That's not what they're made for...

[ Sometimes, Four just has to be a fuddy duddy. ]

We could load it full of costumes?

[ The furry costumes. That's almost like a person. ]

I don't know if the head'll fit, but the body should be fine. [But right, Four's from fantasy terrifying land. Got it.] In our world, people get paid for this sort of thing. They train to be shot from cannons and walk on tightropes high in the air and stick their heads in lions' mouths and everything. People like to be entertained.
