As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

Being able to actually use them efficiently? Yeah. That is important. [ Hm. ] Also, not forgetting you have them in the first place.

If you're consistently practicing you can't forget. [The fire spins a little faster.] Being able to have control of something like a flame that can cause maximum damage is probably the greatest asset to have. It means being able to use it without having to plan a lot.

[stillstands]

So, just flinging recklessly but having the control to make it work?

[ She's smiling though. And then she holds out her hands and after a moment, summons fire into her palms. It flares a little before settling down, and she keeps it steady, hovering over her hands. ]

[twinsightful]

Yeah! [No.] You never know when you'll have to actually throw fire without causing an entire area to burn down. [He glances at her hands though.] You're not doing so bad yourself though.

[stillstands]

I'm not moving it around though. I'm a little worried I'm gonna be the one who burns down the tent, now.

[twinsightful]

I don't know if it'd even burn. But you can't be afraid of stuff like that. How else will you learn?

[stillstands]

I can practice and learn without being reckless, I think. [ She's still maintaining the flame though, and slowly starts letting it rise up and down. ]

I'm happy with baby steps. I'll leave the flashy stuff to you.

[twinsightful]

Because I'm an expert? [This is said with zero sense of self-awareness, but it's fine.] Just don't fall too far behind.

[stillstands]

You do have more experience. Maybe not expert level... don't go too wild with this. [ kaoru??!! ]

What would you even consider wild? My goal right now is lighting both rings on fire and seeing if I can control the flames in both directions.

[stillstands]

[ ........ ]

Honestly, that.

You don't trust me enough to try?

I trust you to try. And I also trust you to kinda hope to cause some havoc with it.

You know me better than most people here. I'm kind of impressed.

[stillstands]

You're not exactly subtle about your [ chaotic good energy ] love of making mischief.

I do have an image to uphold, you know. Even if the club's not here I can't just abandon my type.

[stillstands]

I would hope your type isn't going to be literally on fire. [ Although she does sound like she's teasing more now. ]

I don't know. I've been told my image is pretty hot sometimes. [It's fine, he can joke around too...]
