INTRO LOG
Week Zero

The transition from unconsciousness to the waking world is practically seamless. Though you're certain this wasn't where you meant to end up, for a few brief moments it's hard to grasp the situation and take in your surroundings.
A soft twilight lights your way, casting a glow over the sprawling village that fans out around you. Just outside of the large meeting hall you'll find yourself awakening among several others who have found themselves in this place. There's a sense of peace that looms over the area, the only sounds being the cheerful chirp of a stray bird or two and the babbling brook that runs through the village itself.
Stand up, dust yourself off and set out. There are plenty of places to explore and should you venture far enough you'll even find several little houses throughout the village. It may take some time, but as you check out each house you'll soon come across something that belongs to you...along with something that doesn't. It seems that this new residence is yours to share. As for the village itself, the other buildings appear open and well-stocked, providing you with a variety of amenities to utilize. The paths leading out of the village, however, are guarded by four ornate wooden gates. No matter how hard you try, they will not let you past. It seems that the time isn't right yet.
Speaking of, the only way to truly track the passage of time is by charting the movements of the sun but that can prove to be quite difficult as well. As the sun dips below the horizon and the night sky fills with stars, the bell at the shrine rings out to signal the end of your first day. No one else has arrived. It's only you and these strangers for now.
It seems as though you'll have plenty of time to get acquainted with your fellow companions. Make yourself comfortable; when the time is right, answers will appear.

Welcome to the soft intro of Subdivided! This is your intro mingle and the current conditions will last through the weekend until Monday, June 3rd at which point the weekly log will go up. Your characters will not know anything about the partner system, how powers work or any plot-relevant information until Monday. However, characters are free to discover their power through trial and error and will have access to their item from home immediately.
Please note that an additional top-level to introduce NPCs and Game Mechanics will go up on Sunday, 4 PM EST.

[ Somewhere cold all year round... Minato would never leave his bed, in that case. ]
no subject
[ So there may be seasons, but... living in the mountains kind of tempers that. ]
no subject
[ Someone of high status, like Lili. Definitely kidnap-worthy ]
This was something brought up before... Say somebody kidnapped you here. There would be somebody who would exchange land or money for your release?
no subject
[ Four takes a moment before she answers. ]
It'd be difficult to do back home. I wouldn't— [ She shakes her head. ] My sisters would come to my aid.
no subject
I hope they do. I'd like to meet them too... Maybe everybody else who's come is already on the other side of that gate, making negotiations.
no subject
It may be harder to make negotiations than usual. I... don't feel quite the same as I usually do, and I hope my sisters aren't affected in the same way, if they are here.
no subject
Are you ill? ...It's the pressure difference, right? Since you're used to high elevations.
no subject
No, that's not it. I simply don't feel... as strong or as fast as I could be. I don't think it has to do with the altitude. I didn't always live in the mountains.
no subject
Sunshine and fresh air... Way different from the city life. ]
Well... Any new place takes some adjusting. I feel a bit off every time I move somewhere new too. You get used to it, and this place doesn't look too bad.
no subject
I had to travel a lot when I was young. It's not that I'm unused to changing locations, but... I don't usually feel so powerless.
no subject
But powerless is also a familiar feeling, especially when one's been uprooted and dumped somewhere else without any prior notice or any idea what to do. ]
That feeling will go away. The powerlessness. Once we figure things out, and know where to go from here, I'm sure you'll feel more like yourself again.
no subject
That's optimistic of you. Is this something you're used to, too?
no subject
[ He doesn't think himself as very optimistic, but maybe that's what it looks like from an outside perspective, when he's just saying what's on his mind, what he believes. ]
Finding myself in a new place, and feeling lost. That sort of thing, I'm used to. But I tend to adjust quickly, too. Because there's no reason to keep feeling that way, right?
[ Lost and confused, anger, concern, panic, whatever everybody else must be feeling when they first opened their eyes and saw this new world. Minato felt none of that. He opened his eyes, and went "Oh. Okay." and that was it. ]
no subject
How she handles her issues is different, after all, when she acknowledges them. She nods.]
Staying in place when you can move never does anyone any good. Remember where you need to go, no matter where you are— that's how you'll find yourself again.
