INTRO LOG
Week Zero

32 in Competition
The transition from unconsciousness to the waking world is practically seamless. Though you're certain this wasn't where you meant to end up, for a few brief moments it's hard to grasp the situation and take in your surroundings.
A soft twilight lights your way, casting a glow over the sprawling village that fans out around you. Just outside of the large meeting hall you'll find yourself awakening among several others who have found themselves in this place. There's a sense of peace that looms over the area, the only sounds being the cheerful chirp of a stray bird or two and the babbling brook that runs through the village itself.
Stand up, dust yourself off and set out. There are plenty of places to explore and should you venture far enough you'll even find several little houses throughout the village. It may take some time, but as you check out each house you'll soon come across something that belongs to you...along with something that doesn't. It seems that this new residence is yours to share. As for the village itself, the other buildings appear open and well-stocked, providing you with a variety of amenities to utilize. The paths leading out of the village, however, are guarded by four ornate wooden gates. No matter how hard you try, they will not let you past. It seems that the time isn't right yet.
Speaking of, the only way to truly track the passage of time is by charting the movements of the sun but that can prove to be quite difficult as well. As the sun dips below the horizon and the night sky fills with stars, the bell at the shrine rings out to signal the end of your first day. No one else has arrived. It's only you and these strangers for now.
It seems as though you'll have plenty of time to get acquainted with your fellow companions. Make yourself comfortable; when the time is right, answers will appear.

Welcome to the soft intro of Subdivided! This is your intro mingle and the current conditions will last through the weekend until Monday, June 3rd at which point the weekly log will go up. Your characters will not know anything about the partner system, how powers work or any plot-relevant information until Monday. However, characters are free to discover their power through trial and error and will have access to their item from home immediately.
Please note that an additional top-level to introduce NPCs and Game Mechanics will go up on Sunday, 4 PM EST.

but anyway the first thing Ookurikara does when he arrives is go searching for his sword. Eventually he makes it to the houses, but it's not until he's on the fourth one that he finds it but it's.
In. Someone's hands.
What the fuck.
If this were one of his masters, or even one of the other Date swords, he wouldn't mind - but Ookurikara doesn't know this person. He doesn't even recognize him from the scrolls in the hall, because he didn't bother to read any of them. And they're just... holding him, like it's nothing? So he marches right up and snatches the sword out of Feral's hands without a word, taking just a moment to inspect it himself before turning his glare onto this poor guy. ]
Don't touch this.
[ they're off to a great start! ]
no subject
He'll give him a look and then gestures at the sword. Why did you do that for??? ]
no subject
This is my sword.
[ Clearly that's all the explanation we need here. It's not like this sword is actually him or anything right-- ]
no subject
He'll just cross his arms and give a look that says he's not sure he believes him.
Just going to point on the floor. Cause that's where he found it and he found it first! ]
no subject
I don't care if you don't believe me. Don't touch it again.
[ But... Ookurikara doesn't understand why he's pointing at the floor? He'll risk a quick glance down at it, but that clarifies... nothing? He gives a huff of irritation. ]
Whatever you're trying to say, just spit it out already.
no subject
Huffing out an annoyed breath as he points to the sword and then points at the floor. It was right there.
Still not talking for some reason ]
no subject
It was on the floor?
[ Still don't get why he isn't talking, but. Whatever. Ookurikara just rolls his eyes. ]
That doesn't mean it's yours to take.
[ The "you probably can't even wield me properly" goes unsaid. ]
no subject
Just going to point to his own empty sheath at his back and then the throwing knife ones on his thigh.
Look, his sharp things are gone. It makes sense for him to grab the first one on the floor. ]
no subject
I don't care if your swords are gone. This one is mine, and I'm not letting you take it.
[ Cool! Now that that's settled, he's going to turn to leave. ]
no subject
Also does this mean he doesn't have share a bed ]
