INTRO LOG
Week Zero

32 in Competition
The transition from unconsciousness to the waking world is practically seamless. Though you're certain this wasn't where you meant to end up, for a few brief moments it's hard to grasp the situation and take in your surroundings.
A soft twilight lights your way, casting a glow over the sprawling village that fans out around you. Just outside of the large meeting hall you'll find yourself awakening among several others who have found themselves in this place. There's a sense of peace that looms over the area, the only sounds being the cheerful chirp of a stray bird or two and the babbling brook that runs through the village itself.
Stand up, dust yourself off and set out. There are plenty of places to explore and should you venture far enough you'll even find several little houses throughout the village. It may take some time, but as you check out each house you'll soon come across something that belongs to you...along with something that doesn't. It seems that this new residence is yours to share. As for the village itself, the other buildings appear open and well-stocked, providing you with a variety of amenities to utilize. The paths leading out of the village, however, are guarded by four ornate wooden gates. No matter how hard you try, they will not let you past. It seems that the time isn't right yet.
Speaking of, the only way to truly track the passage of time is by charting the movements of the sun but that can prove to be quite difficult as well. As the sun dips below the horizon and the night sky fills with stars, the bell at the shrine rings out to signal the end of your first day. No one else has arrived. It's only you and these strangers for now.
It seems as though you'll have plenty of time to get acquainted with your fellow companions. Make yourself comfortable; when the time is right, answers will appear.

Welcome to the soft intro of Subdivided! This is your intro mingle and the current conditions will last through the weekend until Monday, June 3rd at which point the weekly log will go up. Your characters will not know anything about the partner system, how powers work or any plot-relevant information until Monday. However, characters are free to discover their power through trial and error and will have access to their item from home immediately.
Please note that an additional top-level to introduce NPCs and Game Mechanics will go up on Sunday, 4 PM EST.

[ they seem frustrated. Once again, they've failed to be useful!! Back to business as usual, they suppose. The Lunarians should have taken them sooner. They don't realize she's wandered nearer until she's already done so; they take a few steps back, pointedly, and adopt a posture that looks like they're trying to make themself smaller, much less pointedly. They don't meet her eyes, either. ]
... Wait. You know what I am?
no subject
[but she's from old timey fantasy korea so like]
I don't particularly know what that means - and it's difficult to believe... but apparently not entirely all of the information on the scrolls is useless. I chose to believe that your weight might've been correct.
Was it not?
no subject
Oh... the scrolls.
[ Right. Those. The things they haven't looked at yet because they didn't want to deal with the crowds. They'll try and sneak in during the night when there are less people around... Cinnabar sighs, sounding faintly annoyed, as always. ]
I don't know what it says about me, so... whatever.
no subject
regardless she doesn't know how someone could be? made up of them? anyway she's still going to nod in agreement for some reason....]
I didn't read mine either.
no subject
You read mine and not yours?
no subject
[as for her own
she waves a hand]
For mine, I don't care what other people have to say about me. Someone read some of it out loud... and it just sounded rude - but it did get my hair color correct.
[so it's not like
completely off base]

The idea of hearing what other people think of them gives them a sinking sensation, because they're sure none of it is good, but they suppose they'd better look anyway. This human girl is tougher than they are, if she really doesn't care. They shift awkwardly on their feet, glancing off to the side again. ]
... Did it... [ ugh... ] ... What did it say about me? Tell me.
no subject
[lili please give a better description than this]
... is that all true?
no subject
I... Well, I guess so... [ hrgfg ] I don't understand the snails part, but whatever...
[ the snail thing was Phos's problem!! ]
no subject
... uh-huh.
Well, even if it's describing you kindly... people know those things about you now if they're true.
It's not right to disclose information about others without their permission.
no subject
I know. You don't need to tell me that.
[ huff!! they push some glittering hair back out of their face, crossing their arms over their chest. ]
Well? Now what will you do?
