week seven: mingle
Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.
"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."
When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.
"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Welcome to your week seven mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also have a mini-event this week on Tuesday at 12pm PST. Of note, this mini-event will be different, so please stay tuned for more info!
In addition, ensure that all of your week six private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ lea clears his throat before anyone can even think of leaving and then, when he realizes that is not going to work, gives a low whistle to get everyone to pay attention to him, damn it!!! ]
Hey, before we all run off to check out wherever it is this thing leads [ he points a thumb towards the gateway ], I think it's about time we address the elephant in the room. There's thirteen of us left, and of those, there's... what, maybe two or three people who don't know? So let's just get it out there. As of right now, the only endgame solution to the corruption that we've found-- thanks to info from our more numerous and deader group-- is for there to only be one survivor of the lot of us, preferably the non-corrupted kind. As in, if we somehow mess up and get a last man standing that's corrupted, that would be Bad with a capital "B".
[ he shrugs and MOVES ON ]
The info so far is whoever that is will get to decide "the fate of everything", whatever that entails. Us, the universe... [ he waves vaguely ] Everything is everything an' all that. The important thing is, we don't know the exact terms and conditions of that one survivor thing yet and won't until Wednesday at best. I'm not saying any of this so we can get a public discussion going or make a decision or whatever. Until we know more about this stuff, any action taken might end up send us spiraling further away from what can be done. All I'm saying is... I figured we all need to start being on the same page, and this is a pretty big part of it.
[ ............... there's a long pause and he. uh. shrugs again. ]
That's it. More info pending Wednesday, no one act out of line until then, who even knows what's viable at this point yet, etc etc. Everybody got it memorized?
[ that's it!!!! ]

Has anyone besides Ookurikara and Valvatorez messaged Tsurumaru? He's asking me who else has since he can't tell who his messages are from.

I see. That explains much.

I shall have to apologize properly.

Also, um, before everyone leaves - a few people have asked me to come forward with this during this meeting, so now that I've run it by the other person who was involved... In case there's anybody who hasn't figured it out on their own by now, it was North and I who killed Julius. We found information about halfway through the week that confirmed he was corrupted, and that he's most likely the one who killed Shirasu.

For the record: He was dead way before we moved him to the fire region. We wanted to purify him without killing him, but there weren't any items at that time of the week. And we didn't want to risk him going after anyone else under the effects of the corruption... So we did what we had to do. [Shrugs!!] You can think whatever you want of us, but we're not sorry. We tried to put the kid down as painlessly as possible.

Good work.
While we're all here, has anybody sent something to Swift Wind asking if he wanted more friends?

Shouldn't we have some sort of plan now, before someone else gets corrupted? Because... if that happens, at least one person will die, and we'll have to have another trial. We'll start yelling at each other, people will get hurt, and it'll be the exact same as we've been doing the whole time we've been here.
Why not... why not just end it now?

[ she pauses, before her voice becomes a little quieter. ]
Isn't... this the right thing?

[ he looks away with a sigh ]
Like Naminé said, we don't have all the information yet. If we act rashly, we risk messing up and ruining everything for everybody.

Can we stop the corruption from taking over someone this week? Is... is that something we can ask Sol and Lune for?
