Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Mm, she specifically asked for chocolate, but if that's impossible, maybe cookies will be acceptable. Or scrap metal.

Scrap metal. For some personal projects. Futaba's really handy with that sort of stuff, but materials are hard to come by.

What do you have available on the other side, anyway?

For the most part, everything here. But the portals are a week behind, so...

[ He shrugs. He doesn't recognize this place at all, so he supposes it's a sneak peak for their next week. ]

[nonbelligerent]

Ah. There should be metal available in one of the areas in this gateway, so I can send them to you or Futaba ahead of time.

That'd be helpful, thanks. What sort of place is this? Is it fun, like the circus?

[nonbelligerent]

Not so much, unfortunately. A lot of nature and threats lurking around, actually.

[compendiem]

[ That doesn't sound very fun... But it could be fun? Nature's sort of ehh, but Minato's found fun in threats. ]

Think you guys can settle things before it shifts over to our side?

[nonbelligerent]

Hopefully... though I think we're all a little distracted by your presences at the moment.

[compendiem]

Yeah... Being able to see everybody again is weird... Jarring. Sort of like having a wish granted before I'm ready for it.

[ He was telling somebody before, that he'd only expected to see everybody in place again when they all meet each other in hell. It's a bit early for that still. ]

But I'm glad I got to see you again. And everybody else, too. That you're all doing okay.

[nonbelligerent]

Same. I didn't expect to see any of you until this was all over, if even then.

We're managing.

[compendiem]

That's a little less optimistic than I was hoping for... But as long as you're managing. What'd you guys do to make this happen?

[ He gestures at the portals ]

[nonbelligerent]

I'm not sure... we didn't hear anything about this beforehand.

[compendiem]

Oh. I don't think we did anything special on our side either... Maybe it's the universe, or something.

[ A very convenient excuse, like "god" or "magic" or "just because" ]

[nonbelligerent]

Well, I suppose for now we should just hope it's a gift...

[compendiem]

Hopefully... I apologized for calling it a dick. So maybe things will be better now.

[nonbelligerent]

Heh. Maybe this is its way of saying it forgives you.

I'll work hard at making amends from my side of things. I'd given you a lot of trouble with the whole bread thing, too...

[nonbelligerent]

It wasn't too much trouble.

Who knows? Maybe even Ookurikara has forgiven you.
