Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Of course. But last week wasn't especially dangerous.

If there’s a risk of dying at all, I’d call it kinda dangerous, personally.

Isn't that just life as usual, though?

Technically there's less death here, but it's still worth being a little cautious...

Remind me again which one of us died and which one of us is still alive?

Which means you have to be even more careful and aware.

I always am.

You rarely let on if that's the truth or not.

[nonbelligerent]

Then why not believe that it is?

[stillstands]

Because if it's not then I'd be ignoring your problems, or your troubles.

[nonbelligerent]

Or you'd be trusting that I have it handled.

[stillstands]

[ She just sighs. ]

Maybe, but the worry would still be there.

[nonbelligerent]

... As stubborn as ever.

[stillstands]

If wanting people I care about to be alright is considered stubborn, then very much so.

[ ... ]

In all seriousness, are you doing okay? There's a lot happening now, and a lot of pressure with this whole last man standing thing.

[nonbelligerent]

Yes. In a way, we have been preparing ourselves for this outcome for a while, after all.

[stillstands]

Preparing is one thing, and doing is another. You can never really tell what'll happen when it come down to it.
