Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

he just hands the egg back to lili so he can pull the dango back out. the baby in his arms manages to chomp on the first piece before he can even start to look for the lost one. while that one's nomming away, he holds the other pieces out as if that'll help bring it back?? ]

...You'd think they'd be a little easier to keep track of.

[lili glanced back for a second but that's all she has to offer at the moment - for now she's going to try to turn away so the baby in her hands doesn't try to nom more of the dango before they can even try to get the last one

there is some rustling up ahead though - ]

[ i can't believe you guys are just letting me easily kill off tsuru for a second time like this

but he manages to reach shore, and he only has a few cuts from it, which is impressive because trying to get away from an aquatic digimon while under the water is harder than it looks.

where the fuck did they go ]

[ can you believe kara missed him and is abandoning him so easily lmao

but anyway kara heads toward the rustling leaves and kneels to hold the food out toward it, and the baby almost instantly hops out to munch on it, letting kara easily scoop it up

god they're so cute ]

Alright. We need to get them back.

[ but he does glance behind them for a second as he offers the one lili's holding the last piece of dango ]

...Tsuru still hasn't caught up?

[the one in Lili's arms absolutely leans out immediately to have a bite of the dango -

thank god he asked bc she was 100% ready to just watch the cuties have some dango. she'll actually turn around in a 360 circle]

Um -

Tsurumaru...?

[ it's fine he's just going to wander onto the completely wrong path as he grumbles about them abandoning him, despite the fact that tsuru is the one who said to go on ahead.




at least he finds another egg. ]

[ welp guess tsuru is gone forever ]

...He's probably fine. He can take care of himself.

Let's get these guys home, and then we can look for him.

Lili will at least try to wander to try to see if she can see him or hear him on a path nearby??]

.... we can head back but he's going to be such a pain if I go back through the portal without him.

[ if they quiet down for a moment they can possibly hear something




it's tsuru venting to the egg ]

-- and human bodies are susceptible to sicknesses, you know? What if I grow ill from this, and grow too weak to move? I could wither away on a beach and they wouldn't even notice! Ah, this isn't a good surprise at all... the rest of my dango got wet...

kara hears that but what if he just

lili hears it and then turns to kara before lowering her voice to offer conspiratorially - ]

What if we surprise him?

Maybe he'll stop whining?

[ and yet kara still shrugs? guess dying makes him a little more willing to deal with tsuru's shit too. ]

Alright. What do you have in mind?

... is there a way to startle him without scaring them?

Maybe if you just jump out and yell ‘boo!’

he's just humming to the egg now ]

No, he does that all the time. It's not enough of a surprise.

[ but what would be... kara's not good at this kind of thing, unless it means roasting his friends. ]

...Could we send Ao to surprise him?

[coastal]

... do you have more dango? We can send Ao with dango.

[they’re just conspiring a surprise for tsuru like 5 feet away from him]

[ he's going to start wandering in the wrong direction ]

[ tsuru you dumb bitch ]

There's one more. Hold it?

[ he can't ask her to get it since she can't. touch him. so once she takes the other baby he'll fish it out and hand it to ao, giving her a gentle nudge. ]

Go find Tsuru.

[ao very nearly eats the dango first to be honest - but she’s smart enough to listen to directions. she’ll scamper off into the foliage, climb up the nearest tree, and that’s how tsuru is going to get fucking assaulted with a surprise jumping squirrel with some dango

the squirrel will probably disappear straight through him but it’s fine

lili will wander off in that direction, and then manage a simple:]

Surprise!

and then he notices them, and his expression turns delighted. ]
