Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

You know what, I think I'd rather pass on the instant cauterizing that's come with getting stabbed in this place every single time, so I'll do my best to let it not happen again.

Sometimes avoiding all the healing up is the best reason to not get hurt.

Is that why healing's so painful?

If you break a body you have to knit it back together. If it hurts to break it, then the reverse is probably true.

Cure and potions don't hurt, though. They're more like an instant relief.

Healing magic. And...

[ hm. ]

You know, I've never asked what was in a potion. But it does the same thing.

Why do you sound so surprised? You've been using magic yourself in this place.

None of the magic here can heal people.

[leaberator]

Yeah, the magic here is kinda limited. But you can ask Xion about it. She's pretty good at it.

Think about how much easier it would have been if we’d had healing magic here... we might have been able to save some people if we had.
