Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

[ There's like... Hisoka left in the graveyard and Minato probably wouldn't mind being shoved over by Hisoka either. ]

Imagine if we could fall through the earth, though... The very first day here, Lili and I were talking about digging a hole to escape.

[ It was such a stupid, impossible plan. They were set on doing it, though. He looks fond. ]

[ I'm going by order of top levels and offerings left but even so, Minato please love yourself and don't let the clown shove you around. ]

... why would we have to fall through the earth when there are literally people here with control over it?

That seems like so long ago.

Neither of us knew anything about that, back then. I didn't know about powers and stuff until... maybe two weeks later.

[ Maybe three? He really wasn't doing anything at all with it, until Sol brought it up and Minato went "huh?" ]

It was a long time ago, though... It feels like I've been here forever. Every day's been interesting. Maybe that's why.

You didn't wonder at all about the things some people were doing around here when the rest of our abilities were stripped?

[ some people were tossing fireballs around like it was nothing, other people accidentally iced things, he was a walking storm of static cling at least one time early on,

but he only makes a quiet, neutral noise in the back of his throat in. what, assent? to what minato says. ]

... It hasn't even been two months. It feels much longer.

[ Minato shakes his head, mostly because he missed the thing about abilities being stripped. The only thing that he had noticed was a profound sense of emptiness— he's never really felt quite right, this entire time— so he could only assume everybody else came in with what they had, same as him without his summoning medium ]

It's the stress response recording every day to emotional memory. When things are boring... entire years pass by in a blink.

[ ...

somehow, his expression slackens a little, the tight control he's been maintaining since he crossed through the portal loosening just a bit into minute flickers of electric in the air, small enough to not do anything more than sting. ]

Stop reminding me that you actually can be fairly insightful when you want to be.

[ it's the minato experience, but even so, this reminder that for all the ridiculous things minato did, they likely had a reason... ]

[ Is there a reason? Probably, with how Minato goes on about being honest and straightforward... so straightforward, sometimes he just goes directly from point A to point B without regard to set paths or walls. ]

Mm. I can do something stupid to wipe that from your mind. Just say the word.

[ he says, both flatly and archly, arms crossing primly over both his front and the prinny plush he's holding. still: ]

[ What is the stupidest thing Minato can do in this situation......... He leaves to go summon Hisoka. ]
