Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Why don't you visit your friends in the forest? Perhaps see if you can get them to avoid needless fighting as well. Talking with others seems to suit someone of your temperament better, in any case.

That being said, the divermon does seem even more thoughtful at this. It takes a few steps towards Shess, looking down at the spear it carries as if debating whether to hand it over. A few others in the vicinity seem to be taking notice, as well.]

Why not go together with everyone? [all the divermon can just migrate to the earth area, it's fine] Think of it as a road trip to your next task.

[The other divermon waddle over to stand around Shess, thinking very hard about the proposal he's suggested. They look from their harpoons to him, then back a few times...

Then one of them lays down the weapon, since he said he was taking over their job. Off they go to the air area!! One of them kind of drops a harpoon next to Emma as they wander off, because she's there too, I guess.

As she watches them wander off:]

I... cannot believe that worked.

[hurrah!]

It's nice to be able to settle things without a fight. Should we go find our target now?

As long as you don’t start telling me to paint with all the colors of the wind next.

[it does! and once they reach it, she carefully bends to pluck the egg out of the water, since shess has done basically everything else.]

Ah, good. Does it look like it's still in one piece?

[she turns it over in her hands.]

Looks like it. Let’s go back before they change their minds.

Agreed. I don't think that will work twice on them.

It's stranger than how my negotiations usually go, but no reason to resort to violence right away if the other party can understand you.

[As she steps onto the shore, egg in hand:]

I won't claim it's an easy way to do things. Or, a safe one.

The pink is what's throwing you off?

It is not traditionally fierce where I’m from, but I’m the first to admit that’s a sexist stereotype that needs to be dismantled, so ignore I said that.
