week seven: mingle

Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Welcome to your week seven mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also have a mini-event this week on Tuesday at 12pm PST. Of note, this mini-event will be different, so please stay tuned for more info!

In addition, ensure that all of your week six private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

I'm not upset. What I want, I'll get it, if the conditions are right.
nonbelligerent: (your seven years. 5-4)

So the point of complaining about how no one cares about your opinion...?
wildc4rd: (rainbird44)

[personal profile] wildc4rd 2019-07-25 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
[A shrug.]

Am I wrong? There's quite a few of us who have opinions no one cares about. Right?
nonbelligerent: (lies for you. 12-3)

[personal profile] nonbelligerent 2019-07-25 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I won't deny that people have suggested throwing whatever you have to say out.

But as I've said before, I prefer to maintain a neutral stance. I don't have to like other people's opinions to be willing to hear them out.

[personal profile] wildc4rd 2019-07-25 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. Of course. You hear them, and then...?

You throw them out?

[personal profile] nonbelligerent 2019-07-25 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on if it goes against what I intend to do.
nonbelligerent: (lies for you. 12-3)

Like I said, neutral. If my goals align with others', that's a happy side benefit, but I've never pretended that I act according to anything but my own justice.

Justice.

[He actually laughs, even if it's glitchy.]
nonbelligerent: (caution. 5-1)

[personal profile] nonbelligerent 2019-07-25 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Or whatever you prefer to call it. Ideology, objectives, self-centered desires—we all act according to our own perception of "what we, individually, should do".

There is no universal justice. Just our own personal ones.

It's amusing you think justice exists at all.
nonbelligerent: (lies for you. 12-3)

[personal profile] nonbelligerent 2019-07-25 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you're interpreting it a little too conventionally.

Like I said, by having any sort of desire or goal, you have your own justice. You just call it by a different word. But everything we do is meant to benefit someone, even if only ourselves.

You can believe what you want. I'm not stopping you.

Ah, well. You're still young.

[can't be helped that hisoka is a dumb baby! shess shrugs.]

In any case, before we got derailed with your nitpicking... even if I don't care for you, that's irrelevant to the worth of your opinion. It's a different matter, of course, if you get in my way.
wildc4rd: (rainbird53)

[personal profile] wildc4rd 2019-07-26 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
[We can't all be OLD, Shess.]

It's too bad I'm dead then. Maybe you should worry about the ones still left alive.

[personal profile] nonbelligerent 2019-07-26 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
[sure you can. just never die—oh wait, too late.]

I'll keep that advice in mind.
