week seven: mingle

Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Welcome to your week seven mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also have a mini-event this week on Tuesday at 12pm PST. Of note, this mini-event will be different, so please stay tuned for more info!

In addition, ensure that all of your week six private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

They would have to know where to look.

Perhaps they can secret themselves away?

Maybe... but I don't think the dead would've received this info if the possibility that Lune and Sol could be killed wasn't relatively high.

Do you think our numbers are going to go down drastically this week?

We didn't have any corrupted last week, right? Perhaps it'll compensate for that now.

At the very least, the dead did make it sound like something drastic was coming. They could've just meant this, but who knows?

Julius was corrupted.

We usually have two to three bodies a week. Then the execution, if we don't have some kind of purifying item.

If that pattern holds, we'll be at ten by Monday.

[Hm... bad.]

He carried over from the previous week, though. No one new became corrupted. I suppose the same could be said of Swift Wind's second week of corruption, but he at least managed to kill another before being revealed.

Most likely.

We shouldn't let the corrupted get away this week. Not when our numbers are already so low.

No. We must not let it happen.

But, should they be caught, and we possess the means to do so, they should always be purified, rather than killed.

I agree.

We'll have to see if there are rewards along those lines this week.

[She's nodding as he speaks.]

Yes.

I think there's more to the picture, but we may not know just what until Friday—when it may already be too late.
