Week Seven

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

[ but he does it with a laugh ]

[ It's the best reason to do anything, Minato thinks, grinning and overlapping his hand with Axel, where it glitches the hell out but that's fine. ]

Now you have to kiss your hand.

[leaberator]

Oh, yeah, you did that last time. [ he pointedly does not do it ] What's with that?

[compendiem]

I think it was a brain damage thing.

[ He waits for Axel to do it. ]

[leaberator]

[ ... ]

Well, I don't have brain damage. I'm not doing it.

[compendiem]

[ ): ]

[leaberator]

Don't make that face! If you don't have a real reason for me doin' it, I'm not gonna kiss my own hand!

It's a real reason... It's sort of like sealing the deal? It's either this or blood pacts.

[leaberator]

Isn't a pinky promise sealing the deal in the first place? Since when do you gotta add steps to it?

[compendiem]

It's always been like this. [ ... ] Maybe it's a cultural difference?

[ Maybe this excuse will work better on Axel than it did on [redacted] ]

[leaberator]

I get the feeling that's not accurate, but whatever.

[ he kisses his own pinky because minato is very intent about this ]

[ He looks happy... ]

[ he can't actually pat minato's head, but he can mock pat him by patting a little bit above his head in the air.

There, there. Now that promise is sealed forever.

[ Minato, crying inside bc he really wants that head pat and this is the most intensely he's regretted being dead ]

Mm, forever. If you dare forget, I'll be around to haunt- ...remind you.

[leaberator]

Ah, c'mon. Even if I wanted to, I'd never forget you.

...Me doing dumb things is paying off, huh? I was hoping to be unforgettable.

[leaberator]

[ lea cackles and gestures to himself ]

Yeah! That's what I work for, too. I make myself easy to remember!

Oh. That's why you style your hair like that.

[leaberator]

Why does everyone say that? [ because kh hair is ridiculous, dumbass. ] Nah, this is just what it looks like.

[compendiem]

Because hair's a pain to take care of... A monk told me I should shave my head. It makes sense.

[leaberator]

Whaaat? No way. What am I gonna ruffle if you shave it off?

[compendiem]

I could leave a tuft at the very top.

[leaberator]

You'd look like some kinda weird doll.

Yeah.
