As the sun rises on Saturday morning, all will be quiet and still in the village. Not a single soul stirs as the sun and the moon linger in the sky, visible should anyone look.

A shimmer of stars spark through the air as a swirl of darkness lifts from the village. Everything has returned to as it once was, all 16 houses in-tact and all buildings precisely as they were before. Beams of light follow, soaring through the air and delivering every single participant back to this plane of existence.

As participants gather their wits and take in their surroundings, they'll find that a celebratory banquet has been prepared for them not unlike the one that originally greeted them. Decorations hang from the rafters and windows as lively music plays and can be heard in every part of the village. Some may even be able to trace the source to a gathering of musical instruments, and even...a turntable? Strange. All manner of fruits and vegetables appear to be perfect for harvest, and a variety of freshly cooked dishes from across many worlds can be found on display at the tables in the center. If you don't see your favorite dish? All of the ingredients can be found, along with amenities to make it yourself.

Surrounding the center of the village, several gateways open one by one, a soft gold glow emitting from them. No dangers linger in these parts, but adventure awaits those who wish to find it. Likewise, silver gateways open alongside these and serve as portals that allow participants to return to their homeworlds whenever they're ready.

Your Oracle Bells are in working condition, all messages saved from your time here and featuring a new network feature. Even as you leave this world, you're only 140 characters away from the friends you've come to cherish. Look around at those who join you today. Look hard enough, and you may even find some familiar faces you haven't seen for a very, very long time.

Though your time in this village draws to a close, the universe has settled and found a path to follow. You will always have a place here should you wish to return, and even when you depart for your next destination, your strength and power will follow you.

Your gratitude will be remembered, participants. Congratulations.



Happy endgame, friends! Thank you guys for a fun nine weeks! Here's a breakdown of what's happening in this post.

-All participants have been revived.
-All locations from the game have been opened, including the locations of the CYOAs.
-All characters' homeworlds can be visited.
-Castmates will be able to come through these world portals and play with the game's cast! So feel free to tag each other, etc.
-The Oracle Bells now have a universal network! We have a post over in the free-for-all meme comm so please just spam each other to your heart's content.
-All elemental powers will remain with characters when they leave! This includes their special skills.
-And yes, all injuries are healed and all characters will remember their time here.

[He stays at the village for a while. Right outside of his house. The portals are surrounding the village but he doesn't make a movement to go through any of them just yet.

His empty prinny is sitting on his lap.]

[If you step through into Val's portal- there's a stone slab right above flowing lava. It's incredibly hot here. And if you're human it's difficult to breathe. But Val and all the other demons in Hades don't seem bothered in the least. There are demons manning shops on both sides and a woman standing in front of another portal opposite the one he's just stepped through. The dimensional guide who looks at him curiously.

He looks happier than he has in a while.

Finally. He's home.

III.

[There's a werewolf at Val's side, now that he's back through the portal. They seem to be caught up in a incredibly one-sided argument that finally relents with:

"Turning any hardship into something positive. This is also one of my lord's many talents..." Despite the praise he sounds incredibly exasperated.

Val looks satisfied as he turns to the nearest person. Fenrich glares at whoever it is.]

[ Bork bork. Hi. He gives a nod and then gestures for him to lead the way. Show him around? ]

[He's more than happy to lead somebody around his home. Next to the dimensional gate is another portal, but he skips over it entirely. On the left side is a nurse, the weapons and armor shop keepers.

On the right is the item world guide, the person who helps level up skills, and the item shopkeeper.

In the very middle of it all is a bulletin board that says something about President Axel. Once he's done taking Feral all the way around he'll stop in front of the board.]

This is my home base.

[ It's different from what he's used to.

Also he might be staring at any of the demons that actually look... monster like.

Once they get to the board, he's going to point at the President Axel.

And then try to make his hands into spikes on his head. Like sure, he can just write it down but you know. ]

[There are a few of them around. They all look curiously at Feral, but he's clearly accompanied and is probably a werewolf so nobody approaches.]

No, not him. Sometimes people share the same name, even when they're nothing alike.

The one you know is considerably more competent.

[ OKAY the mushroom looks fine?

The other two though. x doubt.

Also he's going to look at Val and give a smirk. ]

You sure about that?

[ He's teasing. He likes Lea-Axel ]

He's never caused a virus that would wipe out demonkind.

[That was mostly the corrupterment's fault, but it was called the A-virus for a reason.]

The bar's set low.

[ Val is serious so this is not a joke.

His shoulders are still going to shake with quiet laughter ]

[Disgaea 4 is a wild, confusing trip.

Val just lets him laugh it out.]

[ He would be more confused at the actual virus because just ALL THOSE AXELS

anyways. He'll see what else he can find at the board though. ]

Just because it's important to me, doesn't mean it's important to the Netherworld at large.

[There's something about a Netherworld Battle, along with some deals in the item world.]

[ He needs to step up his game. There's a smile there cause it's funny to him.

[This is kind of nice, actually. Val is stepping back into the mentoring role for his world.]

They're specials you can get if you can find the shop in the item world. They tend to be well hidden.

[ a shrug, halfhearted. ]

Honestly, I wonder if anything important has changed.

Hm. You don't sound sure at all.

I'm hardly the only one who might have tried to make a far reaching wish, I think.

But I asked for there to be no pointless, meaningless death or sacrifice. [ prompted a lot by minato's... everything, and the choice that isn't really a choice he was given. ] I can't force my opinions to override anyone's choices. But... I thought that compromising, and making sure that if it ever has to happen, then ensuring that it wouldn't be in vain might. Help.

[ he sounds a little hesitant, because he knows he could have tried asking for 'no sacrifices, no bloodshed' at all, but... knowing what people are like, what would a wish like that have done to the world? ]

[Val doesn't... think such a thing would happen. Centuries of watching humans pull complete nonsense to kill each other, means his personal opinion on humans as a whole isn't great.

Still...] It's a good wish, but it's hard to see if it will take straight away.

There's really not much else for it. It's naive and indulgent at best, but still, I don't think I would have been happy with myself if I didn't at least make the attempt.

An attempt is always better than simply accepting the world as it is.

If enough people have the force of will to change it and work together, there's always a chance of things improving.

Well. Not like a wish we don't know the effects of gives anyone much to work off of.

We'll simply have to see what happens in the future. With a wish like that, it would be quite difficult to check that it's working.
