As the sun rises on Saturday morning, all will be quiet and still in the village. Not a single soul stirs as the sun and the moon linger in the sky, visible should anyone look.

A shimmer of stars spark through the air as a swirl of darkness lifts from the village. Everything has returned to as it once was, all 16 houses in-tact and all buildings precisely as they were before. Beams of light follow, soaring through the air and delivering every single participant back to this plane of existence.

As participants gather their wits and take in their surroundings, they'll find that a celebratory banquet has been prepared for them not unlike the one that originally greeted them. Decorations hang from the rafters and windows as lively music plays and can be heard in every part of the village. Some may even be able to trace the source to a gathering of musical instruments, and even...a turntable? Strange. All manner of fruits and vegetables appear to be perfect for harvest, and a variety of freshly cooked dishes from across many worlds can be found on display at the tables in the center. If you don't see your favorite dish? All of the ingredients can be found, along with amenities to make it yourself.

Surrounding the center of the village, several gateways open one by one, a soft gold glow emitting from them. No dangers linger in these parts, but adventure awaits those who wish to find it. Likewise, silver gateways open alongside these and serve as portals that allow participants to return to their homeworlds whenever they're ready.

Your Oracle Bells are in working condition, all messages saved from your time here and featuring a new network feature. Even as you leave this world, you're only 140 characters away from the friends you've come to cherish. Look around at those who join you today. Look hard enough, and you may even find some familiar faces you haven't seen for a very, very long time.

Though your time in this village draws to a close, the universe has settled and found a path to follow. You will always have a place here should you wish to return, and even when you depart for your next destination, your strength and power will follow you.

Happy endgame, friends! Thank you guys for a fun nine weeks! Here's a breakdown of what's happening in this post.

-All participants have been revived.
-All locations from the game have been opened, including the locations of the CYOAs.
-All characters' homeworlds can be visited.
-Castmates will be able to come through these world portals and play with the game's cast! So feel free to tag each other, etc.
-The Oracle Bells now have a universal network! We have a post over in the free-for-all meme comm so please just spam each other to your heart's content.
-All elemental powers will remain with characters when they leave! This includes their special skills.
-And yes, all injuries are healed and all characters will remember their time here.

so he'll nod and lead the way to his gateway, stepping through, only hesitating when he realizes that

they're all here. the gateway isn't empty anymore.

he hesitates too, but he hopes that kara assumes it's for the same reason that he did as well. ]

[ just pray that kara's tsuru isn't around anywhere

but the other swords don't seem to notice anything weird? so kara will just. mentally shake that off and start heading for the dojo

when he speaks, his voice is quiet, so only tsuru will hear ]

...It's good to be back.

[ he looks around, taking note of all the unfamiliar faces as well as the ones that he knows.

the building is a lot bigger... ]

Yeah, let's go.

[ and when they get there he'll set his sword down and grab a couple of practice swords, tossing the tachi to tsuru. he wonders briefly if they should have grabbed lili since they'd talked about that

but she's probably busy ]

[ he glances at the entrance, really hoping that no one walks in

and then turns his attention back to kara. ]

Let's go.

[ cool cool cool. kara is more relaxed now than he's been in a long time, clearly happy to be home even if it's temporary, given the mission.

but he won't waste any more time. after adjusting his grip on the practice sword, he lunges forward for a wide upward slash. ]

[ it's funny that for once, kara is more relaxed than tsuru, simply because he said yes to the citadel without thinking and he realizes things can go Wrong.

but he'll bring his sword up to block it, smiling anyway. ]

A good fight should be.

[ kara can't do the dual wield thing here and catch tsuru by surprise - disappointing. but he'll make do by shoving tsuru's sword back and going for a jab. ]

[ ah, remember how spinny tsuru is? that's what he's going to do here, spinning out of the way, stopping neatly a little away from kara.

he grins. ]

[ aha, but kara is as relentless as always, immediately changing direction to charge after tsuru with another slash, this time aimed at his throat. he can't dodge forever if he wants to win! ]

[ okay, but it was funny

still, that's true. he'll have to raise his sword to block that, since practice sword or not that hit would hurt. and he'll try to knock kara back. ]

[unfriendliest]

[ and knock kara back he does, but kara has never let small setbacks like this stop him. after readjusting his grip on the wooden sword, he's coming at tsuru again, this time from the side. he's fully expecting tsuru to dodge, though, so he'll keep after him with a quick flurry of attacks, one right after the other. ]

[ well, that's smart at least. it's making sure tsuru can't properly attack back if he keeps having to repel kara's blows.

although it'll probably start to get genuinely troublesome if it keeps happening, so he's going to try to trip kara with his leg. ]

[ he stumbles, but not quite enough to fall to the floor. just to safe, kara switches the sword to his right hand to throw the left out for balance, and even as he catches himself he’ll slash at tsuru from below. ]

[ the switch actually catches him off guard and kara manages a hit even as tsuru moves to not receive the full brunt of it.

he just also looks very? delighted about this?? he was surprised and he's happy!!

but he'll take the time before kara can correct his stance as the blow lands to go to strike at his arm, ]

[ if kara weren’t busy trying to dodge he’d be a little offended? stop thinking so little of his battle skills just because he’s a younger sword :/

his arm takes the hit. with his balance still a little off, he'll pivot on his heel to try and grab tsuru's arm and shove him away. ]

well, the push works, even if he regains his balance after a he falls back a bit. ]

[ kara is going to take this opportunity to fix his own stance before answering. he doesn't smile, but there's a spark of joy in his eyes, if you know what to look for. ]

You're a better opponent than anyone in that village.

Other people are strong, but... it's not really quite the same.

[ he had said something similar before, when he talked about sparring hisoka. and while tsuru didn't mind the differences in fighting style as much as kara did, because he does like facing surprising things, there's just something about a clash of swords that's more satisfying than anything else.

he moves forward again, fast, this time going to aim a strike at kara's chest. ]

[ all he'll do is nod, because tsuru isn't wrong - there are strong people in this village, but they aren't strong in the way kara wants from a spar. they aren't swords, so it doesn't matter.

this time he goes on the defensive, practice sword held steady to meet tsuru's. the strike does push him back a step, but kara will try to twist away so he can aim a hit at tsuru's side. ]

[ sometimes i like to imagine how the hell did lili deal with tsuru being so spinny when learning from him. since right now he's just going to spin away, before stopping abruptly, to charge again for another strike-- this time he's aimed at where kara is actually holding the practice sword in his hands. ]

[ there was a promise kara made not too long ago - something about not dropping his sword ever again. he's already broken enough promises just by breaking at the end, so he doesn't intend to break that one, too. that's the reason why, instead of trying to block like he normally would, kara ducks, the blow brushing his forearm, and goes for another jab. this time, it's aimed upward, toward tsuru's heart. ]

[ he wasn't expecting that

it shows on his expression that he thought kara was going to block, and he goes to move back to try to dodge it. his stance was awkward enough though that he doesn't move far enough, and instead the wooden sword just fucking

jabs him on the bottom of his chin ]

[ oh he wasn’t expecting to hit tsuru’s chin? That’s… pretty funny tbh

but he doesn’t laugh; this is a perfect opportunity to claim the kill, so he shoves tsuru back and goes for his throat. he'll stop just short of hitting, of course - if tsuru will let him get that far. ]
