As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. The land might appear a bit familiar to some however... I only advise you watch your step."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"The corruption is still out there, and we're going to do all that we can to find a way to contain it. But until then... stick close to others this week. Do your best to protect yourselves and look after each other. Okay?"

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

The only oddity is that throughout the week, in a noise that extends past the portal but seems to resound even through the village, there will be the occasional, resounding call of a war horn.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will find ever-growing feelings of anxiety and nervousness dwelling within them the longer they are separated from one another. They will feel compelled to be very close to their partners at all times, and will be on edge if separated for more than an hour by the end of the week. Welcome to surprise codependence at its finest.

[ Vegetarian... Minato steps out of the water to go find his bag he'd set down somewhere on the rocks so he can jot that down in his notebook. ]

If there's spare panes of glass anywhere, it shouldn't be too hard to make. Water filter, aerator... those are things I could probably figure out how to make.

Yep. I didn't think about dietary restrictions, after all.

[ The notebook gets put away- and then on second thought, left sitting slightly out of the bag so the sun can dry up the pages, it'd gotten a little damp while Minato write in it. ]

I don't have much experience building things, but... I'm confident in my ability to figure things out.

[ Overconfident? At least he's confident. He's somehow still alive to this day, so somehow, he's been managing to pull through. ]

Do you plan on cooking for people?

Well, there's no shortage of resources to learn here, at least.

I want to learn how. Something about... pulling my weight? Or making up for weaknesses, or something.

[ Or something... Maybe he's just upset nobody liked his blood tofu ): ]

Do you know how to cook?

Better than some [ most ] of us. Would you be willing to teach?

Wouldn't you rather have someone like Ookurikara as your teacher?

Would Ookurikara be willing the teach?

[ Isn't that the more important part? Willingness over skill. ]

Maybe if you ask him nicely. He just needs small steps to adjust to other people.

[ Minato "0 or 1000% there's no in between" Arisato isn't exactly sure how to accomplish that, but he nods anyways. ]

I'll try my best. But I like learning from different people too. Different tastes and styles and stuff.

If you say so. I really just know the basics, though.

The basics are the best place to start, really. Especially for beginners. Whenever you can make time for me, would you mind sparing some of that time?

I'm usually free.

[ Minato would be jealous, if he didn't love sleeping so much. ]

[ While he... wades back into the ocean and sticks his hands underwater and waits for nothing to happen. ]

Maybe you should make a net, at least.

I have a net in my bag, but it's no good if I can't throw it out far enough.

[ He stands back up again, wiping his hands down on his soaked pants, and turns to look at Shess. ]

After last week, I thought it'd be better if I learned how to use my powers. So that's what I'm trying to do.

[nonbelligerent]

I'm not sure if I see the connection between fishing and lava.

[compendiem]

Lava in water becomes rock. Then, I can fish in the middle of the ocean without asking Vally to walk the ocean floor for me.

[nonbelligerent]

Using your ability to create a foundation? Clever.

[compendiem]

If it works. [ If it doesn't, then he'll have to keep brainstorming other ways to use his ability until he can figure out something fruitful. ]

I wouldn't be able to do it by myself, but if I had somebody from air help me, I could learn to make pumice. Rocks that float on water. Wouldn't have to create a whole foundation that way, just a raft.

You're getting very scientific, aren't you?

I'm very bad at throwing nets.

[ He's weak and so this is how it's got to be if he wants to net up fish. ]

Well, it's good to know how to cover your weaknesses.

Yep. That's also why I'm fishing.

[ It's some sort of weakness. ]

Actually— Do you have time tomorrow to go to the mountains?

[ He was promised a piggyback ride, he thinks, but then almost drowning happened and maybe that addled his brain. ]
