week two: mingle
Week Two
26 in Competition
26 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.
"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. The land might appear a bit familiar to some however... I only advise you watch your step."
When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.
"The corruption is still out there, and we're going to do all that we can to find a way to contain it. But until then... stick close to others this week. Do your best to protect yourselves and look after each other. Okay?"
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
The only oddity is that throughout the week, in a noise that extends past the portal but seems to resound even through the village, there will be the occasional, resounding call of a war horn.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will find ever-growing feelings of anxiety and nervousness dwelling within them the longer they are separated from one another. They will feel compelled to be very close to their partners at all times, and will be on edge if separated for more than an hour by the end of the week. Welcome to surprise codependence at its finest.

Welcome to your week two mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be hosting a mini-event on Tuesday, so please be on the lookout for that.
In addition, ensure that all of your week one private conversations were reported on the page, and your week two private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Do you want to go inside with me?
[ He's just moving the conversation past this. ]
no subject
Stop saying things that could mistake you for being a pervert.
I can't go in there - I'd never be able to get married!
no subject
I don't understand... Prostitutes can get married. I wouldn't care. [ Why is this even a problem? Lili doesn't make sense. If she's that worried about it, then- ]
Worst case scenario, I can marry you.
no subject
[if this is how minato was trying to calm her own
that sure went in the opposite direction]
no subject
He was trying to make Lili feel better. By being her marriage safety net. ]
no subject
[she hates this]
no subject
[ Lili makes him sad ): ]
no subject
I'm sure you'll find someone else to woo and marry.
[please stop putting this burden on her, she keeps making minato sad and she's exhausted]
no subject
Then, I hope to get to know you better from here on, Lili. I'll propose to you again later.
no subject
—you don't have to! You really don't!
no subject
[ Because this reaction is hilarious and Minato's a dick. ]
no subject
but she's still flustered, unfortunately]
You - stop it! Why would you want to marry me?! Don't say such careless things!
no subject
Because... you're you? Who wouldn't want to marry you?
no subject
on the other - ]
I—
Minato!
[HER HANDS ARE JUST GOING TO FLY UP TO HER FACE TO COVER HER BLUSH, THIS IS SO DUMB]
no subject
Don't hide...
[ She should just. like. punch him in the face instead, maybe. ]
no subject
[the only reason why she's not doing so immediately is because he's at least not taking her by surprise (rip feral)]
no subject
but doesn't stand back ]
Are you embarrassed?
[ Does Minato have a death wish? The answer to both is yes ]
no subject
[she is
but she's going to put more space between them now if he's not]
Stop being odd!
no subject
[ At least he's not sad in Lili's presence anymore— not in this thread, anyways. But he lets Lili make her space, and settles back with his hands in his pockets. ]
Do you think my opinion of you is odd?
no subject
.... it doesn't matter. I don't care what anyone thinks about me.
[or rather
she just doesn't care if someone doesn't like her - but positive opinions throw her off so badly]
no subject
[ Since she doesn't care about appearances. ]
no subject
I'm going somewhere else - don't die.
[she's turning to walk away i'm so sorry minato]
no subject
[ calls out behind her back
SIGHS okay he will terrorize her later ]
