week two: mingle

Week Two
26 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. The land might appear a bit familiar to some however... I only advise you watch your step."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"The corruption is still out there, and we're going to do all that we can to find a way to contain it. But until then... stick close to others this week. Do your best to protect yourselves and look after each other. Okay?"

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

The only oddity is that throughout the week, in a noise that extends past the portal but seems to resound even through the village, there will be the occasional, resounding call of a war horn.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will find ever-growing feelings of anxiety and nervousness dwelling within them the longer they are separated from one another. They will feel compelled to be very close to their partners at all times, and will be on edge if separated for more than an hour by the end of the week. Welcome to surprise codependence at its finest.

Welcome to your week two mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be hosting a mini-event on Tuesday, so please be on the lookout for that.

In addition, ensure that all of your week one private conversations were reported on the page, and your week two private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Why are trashy places like this even allowed to exist...

[but she will follow after with a sIGH]

Men are such useless creatures.
forefall: (take facts for lies)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-19 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Your hunch would be as good as mine because I wouldn't allow it.

[ These places are the worst. Fact. ]

There are so many other better things for them to do, and yet—

[ They decide to be disgusting. ]
coastal: (✧ indignant pout)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-19 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't either - maybe when I become the head of the Water Tribe, I'll outlaw them.

[please talk her out of this]

Real men could be working on their strength instead of succumbing to stupid places like this!
forefall: (turning here and there)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-19 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? You're going to succeed a ruling position? You should outlaw them.

[ As if Four would talk her out of this. ]

That would be nice. I would even settle for them listening for once instead of fantasizing.
coastal: (✧ woooow you're cute huh)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-19 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm thinking about it - they don't actually serve a purpose for the economy, you know?

[why are they like this]

Men? Listening? I didn't know that you took to telling jokes, Four.
forefall: (the boredom of your gaze)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-20 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
They don't. They're a waste of money that could be used to support better businesses.

[ Someone's got to kill fun. ]

... You're right. It's a joke in poor taste. We can't expect men to do anything right.
coastal: (✧ the princess has arrived)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-20 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
We'd have solved all this now if we didn't have men in the village.

Let's vote them out.

[ Is she joking? She's probably joking. ]
coastal: (✧ dumbass)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-21 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
If only the punishment wasn't death.

[she'd? do it otherwise?]
forefall: (your pale forehead)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-21 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think if they were left in this world when the week switches over, they'd be fine?

[ Exiled but alive? ]
coastal: (✧ a visitor? for me?)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-21 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[hm?]

... I don't know...?

[she looks at four a little confused bc that's uhhh a lot]
forefall: (that the ceiling deadens)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-21 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
[ It's just a thought and she was joking?

She shakes her head. ]

It doesn't matter. It's not something that would happen in any case, but it looks like all the rooms look clear to me so far.
coastal: (✧ the princess has arrived)

[personal profile] coastal 2019-06-21 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so too - maybe if we act quickly enough we can start the demolition immediately.
forefall: (a frozen red block)

[personal profile] forefall 2019-06-22 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. Let's hurry.

[ Down with the courtesan house!!! ]
