As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. The land might appear a bit familiar to some however... I only advise you watch your step."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"The corruption is still out there, and we're going to do all that we can to find a way to contain it. But until then... stick close to others this week. Do your best to protect yourselves and look after each other. Okay?"

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

The only oddity is that throughout the week, in a noise that extends past the portal but seems to resound even through the village, there will be the occasional, resounding call of a war horn.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will find ever-growing feelings of anxiety and nervousness dwelling within them the longer they are separated from one another. They will feel compelled to be very close to their partners at all times, and will be on edge if separated for more than an hour by the end of the week. Welcome to surprise codependence at its finest.

[ He tries to peer around Saix to see if maybe he's hiding his banana around him. Next place to check would be through his bedroom window after he leaves. ]

Apples and pears are on my list, but there are no banana trees around here. If I could borrow some... I'll make it up to you later.

And you chose food? What is the bet about? [ the banana is in a safe place where minato will never find it, so he's free to peer around saix......... leave his banana alone. ]

It's not for eating. If you want a real banana, check the kitchen.

[ Again, he's vague, distracted bc where is the banana...... ]

Why do you have a fake banana?

I wasn't the one who chose it. I assume someone was playing a practical joke on me.

[ protect!! saix's! banana!!! from minato!! ]

You still haven't explained any of this.

[ If he didn't choose it, but he has it anyways, then... It should be the same with Minato, and finding his nailbat. ]

But it's a gift from somebody, so you kept it around?

[ He still doesn't explain any of this. ]

It's too troublesome to get rid of.

[ that's all saix is gonna say... to explain that.... ]

[ he just stares at minato instead. ]

[ Minato returns his stare. ]

I could take it off your hands.

[ That would solve both problems, right? Saix would get rid of his banana, Minato gets extra fruit for his fish soup. ]

[ minato please stay away from the giant banana. ]

Now, what are you doing with food?

Mm. Cooking it. Learning how to, anyways. I wanted to learn how to make something everybody can enjoy.

[ Minato tentatively jots "bananas" down on his notepad. ]

Ice cream.

[ it's a much better idea than bananas, okay. ]

[ Consider: banana split sundaes. ]

That's a good idea. I can make milkshakes for dessert. [ """milkshakes""" ] Do you like yours in a cup or inside mochi?

Just ice cream.

[ he is intrigued, though. ]

Inside mochi? What do you mean?

[ Ice cream on a stick is not ice cream, that's a popsicle. Minato makes a fist with one hand to symbolize the mochi, and then opens his fingers a little to make a hole and poke through it with the pointer finger of his other hand in what would be an obscene gesture but that's not what he means. ]

[ lewd :/ ]

And you can cook this?

[ yeah... ]

Sort of...? The mochi is steamed, I think. But it'll be cold, so the ice cream doesn't melt.

[ no wonder minato wants his banana so bad..... saix's virgin eyes can't handle it. ]

.... Interesting. I'll try it.

[ Minato will save everybody's eyes but hiding his hands away in his pockets. ]

Okay. I'll make sure I have them, especially for you. Sometime next week. Hope you like them.

[ way to bring down the mood, saix. ]

Are you sick?

[ Minato immediately looks concerned, because surely Saix isn't going to be murdered, so the only other option is he's just slowly dying on his own accord from some rapidly progressing terminal illness. ]

[ he's been infected by xehanortitis, the only cure is getting murdered. ]

What makes you assume that?

How else would you die...?

[ not by getting murdered!!!!!! Minato will not allow it. Unless murdering means that banana is up for grabs. ]

[ minato will do anything to get his hands on saix's banana!! ]

By murder?

[ have you forgotten... where they are.. minato... ]

Why do you think you'll be murdered? If you're worried, I'll stay by your side, and I'll protect you.

[ offering to protect him to find his banana.... very sneaky, minato :/ ]

That's unnecessary. Focus on protecting yourself.
