week three: mingle
Week Three
24 in Competition
24 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.
"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."
When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.
"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.
In addition, ensure that all of your week two private conversations were reported on the page, and your week three private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Do I need to grip you?
no subject
Yes.
no subject
Anyway he grips around Hisoka's midsection because he doesn't have a death wish.
Unlike me.]

Time to crank up and GO. Hope Val loves going fast because Hisoka has zero regard and a lot of wind for them to eat.
At least?? he?? seems to be a good driver.]
no subject
Still his grip increases and for any normal human they'd probably have to worry about some intense bruising.
But he does seem to be enjoying the ride.
Wind, fast, good.
Clown bad.]
no subject
Also, clearly, he's the better clown here! Really, who is giving Val the ride on the motorcycle? It's him, so.
Val gets a face full of wind if leaning to either side since, with the roads empty, it's easy for him to blast the higher speeds down a straightaway. The only issue is when he stops. It's not a slow down.
It's a slam the brakes so that Val gets jostled around.]
no subject
If only Hisoka wasn't a Level 2000 clown.
The wind is nice and reminiscent of when he's being thrown to get to the end of the map in the item worlds. It's fun and quick and Val doesn't even notice the fact they breaked so awfully. He gets tossed around A Lot at home.]
So you do know how to drive these.
[He sounds so pleased.]

[He holds the front brake down and twists the handle to give it gas. They don't speed off. Instead, the back tire shrieks and slides across the ground until they've turned about ninety degrees.
And then he lets go of the brake.
They leap forward suddenly, a tad bit unbalanced, before righting again and blasting off down the empty road.]

He races them down another stretch of road and leans into one side to zip around the corner and down another.
Since they're on a motorcycle, it's easy to blast by the guard columns for the park. No vehicles? Try to stop him. Time to just tear up the park paths, but at least Val gets a good view?]

Especially the part where Val is perfectly fine with all of this. Go fast, Hisoka. Val's grip is still as tight as ever.
It's not his place to tell people they're gonna become prinnies, and besides, this is he kind of low level chaotic nonsense that most demons would do.
So he doesn't say a word about the park paths but he's enjoying every moment of it.]
no subject
because Hisoka is definitely going to jump the hill with the grave on it. Hitting the incline going so fast gives them a heavy jostle, but the bike careens up without grinding into the grass and dirt.
And then the hill spits them over the grave and down on the other side.]
no subject
All these odd human contraptions, but he supposes even they have their place.]
no subject
He stops at the entrance to the park and glances back over his shoulder.]
Finished?
no subject
[Maybe because neither of them talked during this whole run.]
no subject
Are you getting off here, or back at the gate?
no subject
[Because he does want to explore the whole place before Thursday comes around.
He'll be dismounting the bike now.]
no subject
Have fun. Valvatorez.
no subject
He's off to explore the graveyard.]
