week three: mingle

Week Three
24 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.

In addition, ensure that all of your week two private conversations were reported on the page, and your week three private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.
leaberator: (wow... the land of make believe)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright. I'm looking forward to it.

[ he's already doing it? haha, val's so formal. this is what is happening here. ]
omegathree: (22)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[He doesn't exactly reach out to touch Lea's hand but there's an awkward aborted move where he almost does.]

Moving... Back to matters of the heart, why are you researching that?

leaberator: (the fuck? the fuck is in the air)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[ he notices the hand movement but can't figure out what it means before being distracted by-- no why would you want to move back to that. why ]

... Well... the heart's a complicated thing, right? It's interesting.
omegathree: (18)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Somebody's gone and cursed him this way. It's the worst week he's had here, though he can't parse it as such at the moment.]

Metaphorically and physically, it is.
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, physically ain't my thing. It's icky.

[ :/ ]
omegathree: (09)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Because of the blood?

[ he can't believe he likes a guy who unironically said the word "icky."

Either way now that they're talking about this, Val seems more at ease. ]
leaberator: (this is the dollar store)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[ icky sticky :T ]

Well, that too. I just ain't a fan of gore in general.
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Val's rational brain: that's what I eat, this isn't going to work.
Val on Hunk: ]

That's reasonable. Most humans aren't a fan of seeing anyone's innards.

Have you learned anything about metaphorical hearts?
leaberator: (so no head?)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's the whole "that stuff is supposed to stay inside" part, mainly.

[ anyway. ]

Hmm, well.. not from this book, that's for sure.
omegathree: (18)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It usually ends in death if "that stuff" isn't inside.

[ moving on ]

Have any of these books been helpful?
leaberator: ("daddy"? do i LOOK like--)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Not even remotely. They're all kinda offensive, actually.
omegathree: (34)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He shelves the book because he's finally thinking reasonably enough to get rid of it. ]

Are they? How did they get published if they're offensive?
leaberator: ("daddy"? do i LOOK like--)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Believe me, you don't need talent to get published. Just the right connections.
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ entirely seriously-]

So corruption runs rampant even in the publishing industry.
leaberator: (next to a bANANANA)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Corruption sorta runs rampant everywhere, man.
omegathree: (39)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's why Malice tried to destroy the Earth.

What were you trying to learn from them? How they work?
Edited 2019-06-24 22:50 (UTC)
leaberator: (the fuck? the fuck is in the air)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-24 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
No, that wouldn't be in a book.

[ he sounds. pretty sure about that. ]
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose not.

It's just something people have to experience.

[Looks. Significantly at Lea. But then moves right along like he didn't do anything odd.]

Perhaps something on the psychology of love instead of these self-help books?
leaberator: (the fuck? the fuck is in the air)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-25 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
[ he looks sheepish at the significant look because he interprets it completely the wrong way. ]

Yeah, I know...

[ a n y w a y ]

I don't think any book's gonna be any good, subject matter or not.
omegathree: (39)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
[thank god they're both morons.]

You can ask me anything you'd like. I can't promise I know everything, but I do have more experience than you.
leaberator: (the fuck? the fuck is in the air)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-25 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
... Thanks, but no thanks. That's kind of...

[ embarrassing... ]
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
I won't judge you.
leaberator: (anyways you said roxas started...?)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-25 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
[ ohhh my god ]

I don't know that that'd make it any better. [ anyway: ] So you've been in relationships before?
omegathree: (09)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I have.

[Like two! Good job, Val.

He seems happy to be helpful.]
leaberator: (hang out or... something...)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-25 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah? With who?

[ axel used deflect, ]
