week three: mingle

Week Three
24 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.

In addition, ensure that all of your week two private conversations were reported on the page, and your week three private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

I shouldn't eat vegetables. I don't processes them well. They've never contained any blood at all. There's not enough sugar in the soup for me.

I'm sure you did an excellent job on all of it, lass.

[It looks considerably more edible than Minato's half.]

You get... Sick from vegetables? That seems backwards...

[ even if there is the whole 'blood' thing... STILL... ]

My body processes things differently than a human's would. You should eat your vegetables.

I do! I like them a lot! Except for bell peppers.

... But what happens if you eat them? Tummy aches?

Good. It's important for growing teenagers to get a good balance of nutrients and vitamins. Have you had any marine omega three fatty acids recently?

I'll get sick.

M-marine omega... Wha?
omegathree: (08)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Marine omega three fatty acids! Fish like sardines are full of them! They're also full of vitamin B12 and B2! Along with vitamin D, calcium, and protein.

An excellent fish to keep in mind when you're planning meals!

Ahh... You're just back on sardines again...

Sardines are an excellent food.

[personal profile] specialdog 2019-06-25 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
... I'll figure out how to make something with sardines... [ Eventually... ]

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
When you do, I'll certainly eat it.

You should as well.

[personal profile] specialdog 2019-06-25 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Or I could just give up and serve them to you raw, huh?

[ Then she definitely would not eat any... ]
omegathree: (39)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
You could do that as well.

But then you wouldn't eat any.

[personal profile] specialdog 2019-06-25 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if I'd eat any, anyway... I like tuna and salmon, but...

[ Sardines... Less so? ]

If you're going to eat fish further up on the food chain, be mindful of how much mercury they contain.

[personal profile] specialdog 2019-06-25 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Small amounts are fine, though.
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-25 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's still something to be mindful about.

[personal profile] specialdog 2019-06-25 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I'll ever eat enough fish that it's a problem.
omegathree: (22)

[He looks torn between "eat more fish" and "good, don't eat too many."]

[ Hitting Val right in the sweet spot where he doesn't know how to reply... is pretty satisfying. ]
