Week Three

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

I have never once stuck my hand in lava.

[ She makes a face. A "don't remind me how stupid that boy is" face. ]

Lava is an extreme case. Would you run into danger with little self-care?

[leaberator]

Just for the fun of it? Nah.

[ which implies he has before, ]

... Perhaps there's less to worry about with you, then.

[ She points to the motorcycle. ]

How does it operate?

[leaberator]

[ you go vroom vroom? he points vaguely at parts of the bike ]

Well, once you're on it, you use the pedals and the handles to work it...

[ that's about all he knows ]

[forefall]

Why don't you attempt to make it go? You wanted to learn, didn't you?

[ Maybe.... he can learn to ride it.... safely.....? ]

[leaberator]

[ um ]

'Cause I don't know how?

[forefall]

.... Well, you won't know how until you try.

[ She gestures at it. The only reason she's encouraging this is because she doesn't know just how dangerous riding a motorcycle can be. ]

Go on.

[ Push a button, turn a key. ]

[leaberator]

[ hm ]

You really don't know how these work, huh.

[ she already said as much, but. wow. ]

[forefall]

[ She frowns. ]

I already told you that. Either you want learn how to use that.... or you want to stare it, as if that will teach you how.

[ What else is there? Explain it to her, or they can just continue to not be on the same page. That's fine, too. ]

[leaberator]

[ hmmm. he'll explain because he doesn't feel like crashing and dying today ]

What's the mode of transportation where you're from?

[forefall]

[ Live a little, die a little. It's the circle of life? ]

I have an air ship, but... usually, walking or on horseback. Sometimes, dragons, if they're willing.

[leaberator]

[ immediately distracted ]

Wait, wait, dragons? Seriously? You ever ride one?

[forefall]

Yes. A dragon wanted to help my sister, so as a favor, she helped me. I chased after some pirates with her.

[leaberator]

Pirates and dragons? Now you gotta tell me the whole story.

[ he says. like that wasn't the whole story ]

[forefall]

[ She smiles. ]

I don't think it's an exciting a story as you think it is. Gabriella— that's the dragon—was my sister's friend, and I needed help rounding up some elves. They were air pirates, and this was before I had my ship, so Gabriella came to help as a favor to my sister.

I wanted to catch them before they could do more harm to the world, so I chased them across smoky skies. There was a lot of cannon fire, but Gabreiella was very agile even at her age and her fire power was more powerful. We took them down in due time.

[leaberator]

No, a dragon chasing air pirates is still pretty exciting.

[ why would she think this isn't exciting. it sounds straight out of sora's wildest world adventures? hilarious. ]

[forefall]

I thought it was the right thing to do, but Gabriella protested. She thought we shouldn't chase them. Dragons... think quite differently.

[ They had an argument and everything. ]
