week three: mingle

Week Three
24 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.

In addition, ensure that all of your week two private conversations were reported on the page, and your week three private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ No.

okay, he relents a little ]

Would you try it if there was just a little drizzle of blood on top?

Why are you so determined to get blood in this dish?

[personal profile] compendiem 2019-06-25 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I made it specifically for Vally.

[ Also Emma. But originally for Val ]

There'd be no point if there were no blood. Since I wanted to have something for everyone to enjoy.

...

That's fair if you made it for Val, but it might not appeal to [ anyone else ] other people as much. Making two different kinds might be a better idea?

Yeah... I'll consider that for next time. Thanks, Miki.

[ "Consider," but like. he won't do it. ]

[ Yeah she’s getting a feeling that went in one ear and out the other. Note: don’t eat any of Minato’s pudding desserts. ]

... and try not to injure yourself making them.

I'll try.

[ This is something he can promise, because he does try not to get hurt.

He just also fails. ]

[ She can but ask, Minato. ]

Please do. It’s not fun seeing people get hurt. Last week drove that home quite a lot.

Last week was... well. I hope it's different from how things are supposed to be.

[ Who knows, maybe parties are weird and war is the norm. ]

Not everybody can fight, and not everybody should have to fight... I thought it was where I could finally pull my weight.

[ It's why he went out twice, and got twice as beat up as anybody else. Not that his efforts made any difference. ]

Right. But it's still a sign of sorts -- we should take good care of ourselves, in case we end up in something like that again.

...

You're right, but sometimes it's not that easy and people have to fight anyway. Even if you take a lot on your shoulders along the way.
