week three: mingle
Week Three
24 in Competition
24 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.
"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."
When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.
"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.
In addition, ensure that all of your week two private conversations were reported on the page, and your week three private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ no point in bluffing something that'll be disproven shortly, after all. still, he sighs, and- ]
But fine. Demonstrate, and I'll tag along after if you're good. It's a faster way of getting around town than walking, after all.
[ he's being practical. ]

Okay. ♪ When I show you, and I'm good, you have to ride.
[Julius could walk away while he's being an exhibitionist with the motorcycle, and that would be fair. But will he?
The engine roars to life, and there's terrible fluidity in how he knows what to do. The bike takes off. He speeds down to the end of the long stretch of road, skids around and then comes back.]

by the time Hisoka gets back, Julius is gone. okay, no, he isn't; what he is is perched on top of something now, a slightly higher vantage point to be able to see further down the stretch of road nearby. which means he's probably on top of one of the gas stations, honestly, his head resting on one hand. ]
Good for you, you've proven you can operate one of these to an adequate degree.
[ it's... not mocking or biting or anything that would indicate that it's begrudging, somehow? it's just very matter of fact, if very faintly resigned. the reason for which being-- ]
So where's the sidecar.
no subject
[It sounds one hundred percent as if he's being cheeky. The look on his face says he knows what a sidecar is--clearly, there's other bikes with one. A thumb is given back over one of his arms.]
You have to ride behind me. Or... [He straightens up and sits back, making it roomier in the front.] You can sit in front.

[ worded as a question but said so very, very flatly... ]

In front.

[ He asked just to be contrary, yes, though he's aware with the wording used it could mean either of Hisoka or himself. Alas.
So with that said, he'll just ease himself off from atop the gas station, somehow avoiding putting weight on his injured leg despite the extra effort it takes. It's not much from there to swing himself over the back of the seat, though he sighs once he's there. ]
Honestly, what do you get out of this, anyway?
no subject
He waits for the boy to come down, shifting enough to make room, but maybe not enough to keep Julius from having a tad bit of struggle getting the leg over.]
Just some fun.
[He starts the bike. Julius will have to pick whether to hold onto the clown or the seat, and Hisoka doesn't give much time at all to think about it before he starts going.]
