Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ this place is a lot better than the last castle she was in so like

she's content just from that. at least it isn't all white. ]

It seems pretty magical, doesn't it?

[ Hmm, is magical the word he would use?

Minato lets go of Naminé's hand, gets out his notebook and writes something down before tearing out the page, placing the notebook back into his bag, handing Naminé the note, and taking her hand back.

The piece of paper says "Cursed." ]

[whitewalls]

Cursed?

[ she looks around, trying to see it the way minato is... ]

Like haunted?

[compendiem]

[ He nods, because yeah this place is haunted? Just look at the place.

With his free hand, he traces out a circle in front of them, then looks at Naminé ]

[whitewalls]

[ she is really bad at charades, apparently, ]

Circle?

[compendiem]

[ It's okay, Minato is also bad at charades. But his opinion is that it's just Naminé, because he pulls this face. ]

[whitewalls]

Ah... are you judging me...

[ what does circle mean, she's crying on the inside. ]

[compendiem]

[ Yes he is.

He averts his gaze but then tries to cover it up by shaking his head and tugging Naminé a bit further up the stairwell, where they're about to arrive at one of the landings. He points towards the doorway to the classrooms, but also holds her hand a little tighter so she doesn't get off the stairs. ]

[whitewalls]

[ ah

she looks over at the classroom, then at minato, and back at the classroom.

naminé does not get off the stairs because she does not know what they're doing. ]

[compendiem]

[ Same.

The two of them stand on the stairs too long, and it starts to go back down to the lower floor. ]

[whitewalls]

[ hm.

she feels like they did something wrong here. ]

Were we supposed to get off?

[compendiem]

[ No clue. He looks over the railing and spots another set of stairs coming up towards them, and he tugs at Naminé's hand to bring her attention there. If they're lucky and can time it right, they can step up onto the railing and right over to the other set, and go back to going the right direction. ]

[whitewalls]

Oh... okay!

[ she'll pull him along so that they can position themselves properly ]

Ready?

[compendiem]

[ He nods, steadying himself on the railing, his balance pretty okay for somebody with a wounded foot and a missing ear. At least the stairs aren't shifting too quickly and they'll be able to step over in three... two... one... ]

[whitewalls]

[ annnnnd step!

but they don't miss and die horribly, so there's that. ]

[compendiem]

[ At least they don't fall to their deaths and splatter on the ground!!! Anyways, it's fine if they miss a step, because there's plenty of other stairs down below to catch them; that's partly why Minato's so calm in hopping over to the other side like this, already walking up towards the top of the stairs and looking out for another set they can hitchhike without having to wait on the landing for it to come. ]

[whitewalls]

[ this is somehow not the stupidest thing they have done together, so she goes along with it reasonably enough. she will tug on his hand to get him to stop if she thinks they might trip and die though. ]

[compendiem]

[ Pulling on somebody's hand is the surefire way to make somebody trip, Naminé...

But at least Minato doesn't startle easily when he's more or less awake and sort of knows what he's doing, so while he takes the lead, he lets Naminé set the pace and make the jumps only when the staircases are close enough together, instead of going for it and praying.

Eventually, they make it to as high as the stairs will go. One step closer to defenestration. ]

[whitewalls]

These stairs seem like an easy way for someone to fall and break their leg, doesn't it...

[ who designed this.

but now they're back to their original spot, where the classroom is. she still has no idea what minato was signaling for that one time. ]

[compendiem]

[ Something about curses? He can't remember anymore.

He's pretty sure the stairs are meant to be some sort of escalator system, but he can't say one way or another, so he just shrugs. Doesn't matter? Maybe there's an elevator somewhere... Come on, he tugs Naminé's hand a little, let's go check out the halls. Usually, the elevators are where the exit signs are, so all they have to do is look for those. ]

[whitewalls]

[ she nods, and they can go off again. naminé looks around at all of the paintings they pass, pausing whenever she sees a particularly curious one. ]

You know... I used to stay somewhere that people thought was haunted. It was nothing like this though.

[compendiem]

[ He looks at her curiously because you know what? him too. Creepy ghost kids showing up in his room every other week, it was annoying but also not like this. ]

[whitewalls]

[ i mean in her case, people thought she was the ghost which is fair ]

There's classrooms here, so... is this a school then? Or is it multiple things?

[compendiem]

[ He shrugs, because who knows, really. Despite also seeing the classrooms, it doesn't look like a traditional school— or nontraditional school, or school in general. There's suits of armor everywhere and he thinks it might be infested with owls?

He wanders back over to the staircase and leans over the railing so he can look up at the ceiling to spot any birds, without the upper floors getting in the way. ]

[whitewalls]

[ huh

she'll also look up, except she has no idea what minato is looking for so naminé is just admiring the ceiling. ]
