Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

a) lake

[ despite the abundance of rowboats at the entrance of the gateway, xion decides to try a different way of getting to the castle. in true disney fashion, she's instead taking advantage of the amplified magic effect and using it to form a bridge of ice over the lake and using it as a walkway. you can run into her either while she's steadily making her way to the other shore while continuing her path... or you can catch her slipping on the ice and falling into the lake. ]

Whoa—!

[ luckily, whether there's a passerby or not, that helpful tentacle guiding the boats gently wraps around her and plops her back onto her bridge, thus ensuring the group's efforts in saving her from the corruption over the weekend doesn't go to waste. she stays kneeling for a moment as she looks back into the murky water before mumbling a sincere, ]

... Thank you.

b) sports field

[ xion doesn't necessarily have interest in sports, since she doesn't really have experience with anything like that... but what she is familiar with, though, are the broomsticks that line the walls of the locker room. she takes her time running her hand over the different handles, from the brooms that look like they've come out of someone's kitchen to the high-end models that professionals must use. if anyone else is in the room with her, she'll turn to them and ask with a faint twinkle in her eye, ]

c) sweets shop

[ unsurprisingly, given that she would sell almost anybody to satan for one double cone, xion's found herself drawn to the sweets shop as soon as she enters the gateway's village. it isn't ice cream she finds herself curiously considering, though—it's the colorful display on the counter that catches her attention. ]

"Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans: a risk with every mouthful"...

[ ... even with the uneasy way she reads that ominous warning, she's still holding a box and very seriously considering giving it a try. ]

d) wildcard

( literally any other hp au shit, i am here for... basically she's mostly going to be sulking whenever she's not exploring stuff in the gateway, and even then it won't be with the same energy she'd done things before last weekend. )

Everything else around here is so magic. I bet they do.

[ Akane grabs one of the brooms and... Holds it out to Xion. ]

Dare you to try it.

[ akane??? ]

I don't know. Maybe just try sitting on it like a witch would?

[ Which would be. Difficult with it not already in the air, so??? ]

tilts her head to the side

and swings a leg over the broom??? ]

[ Akane watches expectantly! Will Xion get hurt? Will she do something funny??? Akane is hoping for either one of those! ]

[ AKANE??? anyway xion's just kind of there, looking a little silly with a broom between her legs... but suddenly, it starts to hover, enough for xion's feet to dangle above the ground a couple of inches ]

Wh-whoa! It worked—!

[ Four usually tries to shy away from eating sweets too often because she wants to be health conscious, but exploring is exploring. ]

Do you really think they mean every flavor...?

[ She sounds doubtful. ]

[blackcoats]

I'm willing to try one. What about you?

[ this is her gryffindor side popping out ]

[forefall]

[ She looks at the box even more dubiously. ]

... Sure. If you try one first, I'll try one.

[blackcoats]

with four's agreement, xion takes a box from the display and shakes out a couple of beans, then pops a greenish one in her mouth... she wrinkles her nose a little. ]

It... tastes the way grass smells.

[ she is Conflicted... ]

[ Can Four take back her previous statement? If it's grass, she doesn't want to try it. ]

Why would anything be made to taste like that?

[ It makes no sense. ]

I guess they really did mean it when they said every flavor...?

[ a pause as she glances over at four, then

holds her hand with the beans out??

she said she would :( ]

If they're magical then sure, why not. Why'd someone want a flying broom, though?

[There has to be more comfortable things to fly on, she figures]

It's... kind of like a tradition, I think? I've only ever read about it in stories, though, so I'm not completely sure.

[ she's still sneaking glances at the brooms with her good eye, her curiosity not hidden! ]

Then give that tradition a try. I'm pretty sure if I turn around you'd go grab one, so what are you waiting for?

[Grim Eyes sounds rather interested in finding out if the brooms really can fly]

[This asshole's lazily floating around in a boat, but he leans back a little away from where the tentacle appears. He's watching it lift Xion back up to her bridge and from his place in the boat he calls out.]
