Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ Hm, she wiggles her toes a little. She's happy...

But also, hey, uh, Minato. ]

... Why aren't you talking? Do you have a sore throat?

[compendiem]

[ He nods and I'm so glad somebody got it? I've been so tired all day. ]

[specialdog]

[ She draws away from him, but just so she can reach up and check his forehead with her hand. Is he warm??? ]

Just a sore throat? Or are you totally sick?

[compendiem]

[ His forehead is warm, yeah. Which is in contrast with the way his hands are always cold, which Akane would know if she ever holds his hand ):

He just sort of shrugs at her question, though, because being sick is normal for him? He thinks he told her before. ]

[specialdog]

[ She holds his hand plenty! Just not every time he holds his hand up! Jeeeez.

Akane sighs, but settles back into their previous position. ]

And I can't convince you to sleep in bed properly, can I? You'll get sick less and get better faster if you rest well.

[compendiem]

[ He gestures down at the blanket nest around them; there's like at least two blankets? Plenty comfy, seeing as he used to just sleep on the ground with Xion and one blanket.

He picks up Akane's phone so he can type in ]

I'm getting plenty of rest. I'll get better soon.

[ That's all he's been doing... every time Akane stops by the main hall, there he is, asleep. ]

[specialdog]

And you're eating? Real food?

[ She could mean ice cream... Or she could mean the types of food that Minato cooks. Either one. ]

[compendiem]

[ He nods because yeah! He's been eating ice cream. To reduce the fever or whatever. ]

[specialdog]

[ Like a fool, she assumes this means he's eating healthy things. ]

Hmm... I hope you feel better, soon.

[compendiem]

[ She's a fool He hasn't eaten healthy things since... hm.

Anyways, he smiles at her concern, and settles back into his blanket nest. ]

[specialdog]

I can still make you soup, sometime, if you want! A different kind than last time.

Oh, want me to get a nurse costume?

[compendiem]

[ You know what? Yeah. Minato nods his head, no hesitation. ]

[specialdog]

[ Oh good, she gets to spend the rest of the week playing sexy-nurse-dress-up! ]

What kind of soup do you want? Chicken soup is supposed to be best for when you're sick, right?

[compendiem]

[ Yay!

Minato nods, because yeah, it's chicken soup for the soul. Sorry Bob-chan-san, friends, and family. Akane's going to come back and finish the job, or something. ]

[specialdog]

[ Listen........ Minato is getting canned soup at best....... She did her time, and her kitchen days are over....... ]

I wonder if there's medicine...? Have you thought of asking Lune-san or Sol for some?

[compendiem]

[ I hope the soup is cold and Akane forgets to add an additional cup of water to it.

But he shakes his head for an answer, and emphasizes but waving his hand.

[ No he didn't ask, but also, no he doesn't need it. He can just sleep it off, like he always does, and he'll be fine. Like he always is. ]

[specialdog]

[ She can make instant stuff!!! JEEZ. ]

It would probably help...

[compendiem]

[ The first time I had instant soup, I poured it straight into a bowl, had a spoonful, and decided I would never buy instant soup again.

Medicine would help, but... ugh... He sighs, and points to himself, and then juts his thumb towards the door.

"I'll go ask." ]

[specialdog]

[ W...... wh........... ]

Do you want to bring my phone? So that you can type it for them?

[compendiem]

[ Minato shakes his head, and pulls out the notebook and pen from his bag. He can just write to them with this! Instead of forcing them to play charades... like he's been doing with everybody else... ]

[specialdog]

Oooh, you're so prepared! Good job.

[compendiem]

[ He looks happy? He's happy, even with that sort of praise, and he goes off to the shrine and probably falls asleep there right on the ground before he even makes it to the lanterns, but that's fine. ]

[specialdog]

[ Well it's not like she was sitting around waiting for him to come back so she is NONE THE WISER, THANK GOD.

But later in the week she'll definitely bring him some successful chicken soup, and wear a nurse costume, and work on that carving for him. \o/ ]

[ \o/ Sometime next week, if Minato ever goes home, he'll set both carvings next to his cactus on the windowsill. ]
