week four: mingle

Week Four
22 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[He looks up, watching the rabbit curl into a ball before hopping forward a bit. There's a grin in Emma's direction.]

It's cute, isn't it? A friend of mine has a stuffed rabbit he keeps with him at all times. Usa-chan doesn't really look like this, but this was a little easier to manage.

Cute. How old is your friend...?
twinsightful: (CONTEMPLATIVE ♜ He needs this)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-06 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Eighteen. He's in his first year of university now.

[After a moment:]

And he still carries it around...?
twinsightful: (HUNNY ♜ I'm alright)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-07 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It's his lovely item, but also he just likes cute things a lot. [This is apparently very normal.]

Lovely item...?
twinsightful: (PLEASED ♜ What a stupid idea)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-09 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
Something that's used to make someone seem cuter, or, like, more approachable. Honey-senpai had Usa-chan, and Mori-senpai had Honey-senpai.

[personal profile] foodbin 2019-07-10 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Would they not have been approachable otherwise...?

Honey-senpai would have been fine. He just likes cute things. Mori-senpai is really tall and sort of intimidating because he's usually silent, plus he's a kendo and karate master. So having Honey-senpai around makes it less intimidating.

[A small pause.]

Is his name really Honey, or is that just a nickname?
twinsightful: (HUNNY ♜ I'm alright)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-12 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
No, his name's Mitsukuni, but he's from the Haninozuka family. [Haninozuka = Hani = Honey, basically.] Everyone calls him Honey-senpai though because of his type.

Right, the carrying a stuffed rabbit around as a college student type.
twinsightful: (CUTE ♜ Not a single fuck was given)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-13 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
More like the loli-shouta type. [A grin.] And Mori-senpai's the wild type, so you can see why having Honey-senpai around helps.

[personal profile] foodbin 2019-07-14 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
...I have no idea what that means.

[To the first part, at least.]
twinsightful: (CALM ♜ Funny little thing)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-16 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It's pretty much a trope that's meant to be cutesy and child-like. [It's a lot.]
foodbin: (pic#13146266)

[personal profile] foodbin 2019-07-19 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
...Why would someone want to do that?

[It's a serious question, probably.]
twinsightful: (CALM ♜ Let's focus)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-20 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Honey-senpai just really likes cute things and is unfortunately very petite. It works out. But I've never questioned why our customers like what they like.

[personal profile] foodbin 2019-07-21 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Your... customers?
twinsightful: (Default)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-23 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod.] We run a host club for the girls at our high school. It's just a club where they can sign up to spend time with us and we entertain them for an hour or two.
foodbin: (pic#13146172)

[personal profile] foodbin 2019-07-25 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
...That's all it is, they just spend time with you? Why is that a club?
twinsightful: (CURIOUS ♜ Kill the cat)

[personal profile] twinsightful 2019-07-25 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Why is a gardening club a group of people that gather around and play in the dirt for an afternoon? Our Host Club is designed to have new themes in rotation, not to mention new customers and cater to the satisfaction of the female student body...though we've never said no to boys, too, if that's their thing. They pick a type that they want to spend the day with and we entertain them.

[It's like a real life dating sim but he's not phrasing it like that, thanks.]
