Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ It's fine. Four wasn't going to have much cake anyway. Too many sweets is bad for you?

This is going to be an awkward friend date because Four doesn't understand what's going on either. ]

Do you know what Kaoru wants to happen with this...? Either of you? He said something like...

[ Minato glances over at Xion, giving her a real strong dose of "What the fuck's going on?" because heck if he knows either? At least one KH will learn how to say fuck today.

Xion doesn't want her tea, though, so Minato goes ahead and slides the cup over to Four instead. Here, she can have two. ]

[ in response to four's question, she shakes her head with a quick, ] No, he just said you could use my help...

[ and in response to minato's thoughts... since he's not saying anything she turns again to four... ]

[ can't believe there's going to be a murder during break week and it's going to be right here, right now

Four closes her eyes and counts to ten silently. ]

Perhaps there was an oversight in this combination. I apologize, Xion, for Minato's uncouth thoughts. It may be best if you don't know.... or ask Lea about it later.

[ Is she ignoring Minato for a minute? Yeah. Is she pushing off explaining expletives? Yeah. ]

[ Oh. This is weird. Maybe it was just a burning question Xion's been sitting on for a long time? But it's almost as if Xion read his mind.

Only one way to test it out.

He looks Xion dead in the eye and thinks to her: "Fuck is when people have sex."

He just really wants to die during break week, maybe. ]

[ i'm going to assume four is going to stop her right there before she completes that sentence ]

[ This is fine. This is totally fine.

Four is indeed going to stop Xion right there. ]

[ She turns to Minato, her eyes bright with anger. ]

Stop that RIGHT NOW. Do not sully her like that. Do NOT bring that up here. Do you understand me?

[ Sex is a TABOO SUBJECT. ]

[ Hmm, yeah, Four is definitely number two. But there's a table in between them and Kaoru's brought more cake so Minato's just going to eat more cake.

A glance over at Xion: "Guess we'll have to talk about this somewhere else."

And then back at Four, he just nods, like he isn't going to sully Xion overall, just because he agreed to not talking about it here. ]

take some of that ice cream cake that kaoru got specifically for her because SOMEONE'S gotta be looking out for her in this hell scenario

and scoots her chair a little closer to four ]

[ She doesn't trust Minato for a fucking second. ]

Perhaps he won't bring it up here because he knows I'll take his cake away from him.

[ That's not a subtle or an idle threat by the way. ]

But if you must learn about that, please learn from someone other than him.

[ Four picks up a cup of tea but doesn't drink from it. Her knuckles turn white from how tightly she grips it. ]

[ Oh my god? Minato draws his plates of cake a little closer to him.

Who wouldn't kill Minato if Xion came up to them and asked about sex... it's a tough call. He's already on thin ice with Axel about the dick thing, even though Naminé didn't out him.

"Ask Akane sometime," is what he eventually directs Xion's way. But also, "Can you ask Four what sort of cake she likes?" ]

[ she'll... file that suggestion away... for later... maybe

but also, at least this thought she's okay with sharing because even she can tell that it's relatively harmless, and she turns to four after scooping up a spoonful of cake. ]

He wants to know what kind of cake you like.

[ Four looks a little surprised by the question. ]

... I don't know. I try not to eat sweets too much. What would you suggest?

[ Minato glaces over at Xion, his mind momentarily blank before it registers that Four might also maybe be asking for his opinion.

"Dunno," is his very useful opinion. "Just try whatever and see which one you like."

It'll have to be whenever Kaoru comes back with more cake, though, because he and Xion are steadily devouring the ones here. ]

[ well, it's lucky that the partners can agree on that much... ]

He isn't sure? I'm not, either, because I've never had the chance to have cake before... [ she tilts her head thoughtfully for a second, before offering some of her ice cream cake to four

[ Minato doesn't deserve this cookies and cream ice cream cake. ]

Perhaps Kaoru can bring you more cakes to try. There's time and opportunity for it today.

[ Four picks up a fork and tries a small piece of Xion's cake. Her face lights up. She isn't saying it's delicious, but it's obvious by her expression. ]

[ He doesn't deserve it but he's also not too shy to steal food, so he just picks up a fork and leans allllll the way across the table and takes a larger piece of cake. At least he doesn't drip on the table? He would have eaten whatever spilled off his fork anyways.

But it's good! The fact that it's good is written on his face, no concrete words coming to mind. ]

[ ... well, she can't say anything because she did say all three of them could share, but :T rude :T good thing this isn't feelings sharing week anymore because otherwise minato would be getting some mild annoyance sent his way... ]

[ who the heck knows but this is more like a date between Xion and Four with Minato being the Lex Luthor forty cakes meme instead of a date between Minato and Four with Xion being some kind of translator. Which is to say

Four doesn't hide her annoyance because even she could see how much Xion was looking forward to ice cream cake? There's trying, and then there's taking too big a piece while trying? Where is Minato's consideration..... ]

Maybe you should digest some of that sugar first, Minato?

[ Her tone is cool. ]

I'll make sure you have the next piece for yourself, Xion.

[ Hmm, well. That's fine with him, and Kaoru's busy somewhere else so Minato just puts his head down on his arms and sleeps off all the sugar. Four wouldn't let him sleep in a classroom desk so this is the next best thing, win-win for all three of them. ]

[ you know what, this is now officially four and xion's date. that way they both get to be cute and akane won't kill either of them. EVERYBODY WINS!! ]

Oh... thanks, Four.

[ with a quick "did he actually fall asleep...?" glance toward minato, she turns back to smile at four. ]

I'm okay sharing it with you, though.

[ Something complicated flickers across Four's face as she watches Minato put his head down. She looks almost hurt(?), as if she wasn't just mean to him two seconds ago. ]

... I didn't mean for him to sleep.

[ She shakes her head, and she returns Xion's smile when she faces her. ]

That's sweet of you. I don't usually encourage eating too many sweets, but you looked so excited when ice cream was mentioned.

[ I am pleased and delighted that Four immediately recognized that going to sleep is Minato deciding an argument isn't worth it and just giving up.

[ luckily xion doesn't share any of that guilt (or at least not enough to really register...) because minato taught her Bad Things and also stole some of the cake she'd been looking forward to? but things'll be fine. maybe. probably. it's break week, no one should be dying.

I... really like ice cream. [ she gives a small laugh, a little embarrassed. ] No matter what flavor it is... it just reminds me of all the good times I've had with my friends. We always used to eat it together whenever we hung out.
