As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

You're overreacting. It's just a book, it won't hurt you.

[Which is why Grim Eyes moves to pick up the book. Really, how bad can it be?]

[ D'ya know what? She's just going to let Grim Eyes read it. Either she'll understand, or Milla will gain another lewd book buddy so it's probably a win/win scenario. ]

The writing's terrible, and that's the least of the problems.

She had heard humans were masochists, but this is more than she expected]

I have no idea? Not very, I don't think. There aren't lots of people stupid rich like that guy, or just... stupid like that girl.

How do you get into a literature based subject with no real knowledge of computers? How did she write her papers? [ Miki, not the point. ]

[She has no idea what half of those words were, but the gist of it seems to be that it isn't accurate at all. That's kind of a relief]

With a lot of effort, I guess. Besides, she'd have bigger problems than literature. This doesn't read like she's having any fun at all.

[Spare Miki the details, Grim Eyes]

Yet at least two people here have quoted this as a “fine example of romance” — or have been led to believe that.

[ Why ]

These kinds of books are supposed to be over the top and sort of... escapist fantasy, I think? Average, everyday person catches attention of rich/powerful person and what happens next changes their lives sort of plot. Not reality.

[So this is like a fantasy to make them feel better. Right, that explains a lot]

I should be glad you humans at least have a concept of romance, even if it's...weird.

[Grim Eyes closes the book]

Who's been lying to you about this being a 'fine example of romance'?

Not all of them are like this.

[Well at least Grim Eyes has someone to blame -- Lune. Figures this kind of thing would come from Lune]

Ah. That explains why her idea of courting Ocuricat was to cling to his pants in the middle of a trial.

[She knows very well Milla was cursed but she really isn't giving her a break, hah]

You know, the human with the golden eyes and the messy brown hair? The target of her affections?

[Ookurikara, definitely. Grim Eyes isn't used to the complicated Japanese names with more than three syllabes]

-- wait, affections?? [ Oh my god. ]

You didn't notice? [Grim Eyes shrugs] She said she had been cursed, but I'd be willing to bet she has some interest.

[Grim Eyes is the worst and is going to be murdered by Milla someday]

[stillstands]

No. I haven't spoken a lot with Ookurikara, so I haven't seen Lili around him much.

[ Oh that's cute. ]

I wonder if she'll say anything to him.

Do you think she would?

[Milla is daring and bold, but is she bold about matters of the heart?]

Lili? She seems like the sort of person who’d speak her mind, so maybe.

[ They’re not talking about the same person anymore, RIP. But honestly both of them are strong willed women so. ]
