As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

kara's first instinct is to say something about how he doesn't care, and he doesn't want to waste his time with this kind of thing... but he kind of has to force himself to trust other people to get somewhere here, doesn't he.

after heaving a sigh just so kaoru knows he's not 100% on board with this, he sits, arms crossed. he'll do it!! but he doesn't have to be happy about it. ]

[and then i guess she's getting dragged here - but it's not like he won't be able to hear her coming?! she's always arguing with kaoru, because as much as she adores her partner, she also wants to shove him in a locker. lili didn't know she was going on a date, but she's reliably dressed cute as hell anyway, even if it's, as usual, ruined by her foul mouth]

You idiot, I can't believe you'd meddle like—

[and she's seated opposite from kara as kaoru darts away before she can hit him]

... I'm surprised he got you to stay.

[kaoru might have to accost them both to keep them from leaving]

He said something about trusting him.

[ lili should know why that was the deciding factor, even if he's acting very put upon about this. he also probably stands out like a sore thumb in this cafe, the blacks and reds of his own outfit a stark contrast to the pinks of the decor. ]

He said it was a date...?

I think it's the modern version of courtship.

hasn't completely understood it, but she does at least look a little embarrassed about it. she fusses with her hair]

[ why couldn't he just say it like that? kara understands that, to an extent. nobles always had to deal with that sort of thing. though that doesn't mean he really knows what to do here, and he's still wondering about kaoru's explanation of what a crush is... ]

All he told me was "talk and be yourself."

[ he doesn't understand why they have to do it in this setting, though? they can talk literally anywhere. they have conversations with the chickens regularly. ]

but regardless lili will just barely keep back a laugh at that]

Why do we need to do that here? We could be doing something else.

[ unless he's saying kara should be courting lili? he never paid attention to the intricacies of courting as a sword, so how would he even do that?

...he brushes that thought off. ]

Mm, there's more to the gateway that I haven't seen yet. We might as well go investigate that—

[though she's interrupted by getting up because ty said that kaoru will be bringing around drinks and sweets to everyone.

which means that this cute and beautiful sundae will be placed at their table and lili will blink because she is a little hungry]

... well, at least we can go do something more productive after. This looks cute...

all he can do is nod in response to lili while he immediately forgets that this is for eating because... cute........ ]

she thinks it, but for once she's nice enough not to say it.

but she'll pick up a spoon - why is there only one spoon - and gently scoop one of the parts away from the front so she doesn't actually harm the kitties. instead she's going to take some of the strawberry with a tiny bit of ice cream so she can eat it]

Oh - it's good!

[ he wouldn't dare try to eat it, but kara does watch as lili fishes out a strawberry, nodding at her assessment. ]

It's... cute.

[ not. that lili was talking about that

[ . . . . okay this time she actually says it]

[but she's smiling as she does? so there's no actual like. insult to it.

she'll look around for a second spoon... before realizing that there isn't one and kaoru isn't nearby, and deciding she doesn't care much. she's careful to pluck out another strawberry piece that won't manage to make the entire thing collapse and scoop some ice cream along with it

and holds it up to him]

Here, do more than just look at it.

but after a moment he leans forward to try it himself ]

she'll move her spoon to try to claim another piece to eat because it's right there - but she notices that it looks like it's drooping a little already... ice cream melts....

so don't mind if she'll just gently lift her other hand out to make it a little colder again so kara doesn't have to watch the cats melt away]

his eyes do light up a little when he notices that she's keeping the ice cream cats cold, though. lili gets it, she understands his priorities here and he can appreciate that ]

[ . . . her hands are occupied so she can't use them to cover her mouth. so instead she just has to turn away to try to hide her laugh in response. it's sweet, how much he likes these cats, even though she thinks it's a bit of a waste of food.

oh well. she'll just continue to gently eat around it, taking a scoop for herself and then a scoop for him, alternating if he doesn't see any reason to complain]

Why don't you learn how to make these? Tsurumaru might like them, when he returns.

[ ah - there's an idea he hadn't thought of. ]

I'm... not as good at making sweets.

[ and he already got a... sort of white pumpkin to send as an offering. but tsuru would like this, and he would love getting multiple offerings even more. ]

Someone did ask me to make cookies... I could try both.

There's no harm in trying, is there? I've gotten a bit better at sweets too... I think I'm finally good enough to offer some to Nana and Junna without offending them.

[so at the very least, they can try.

it's also getting a little harder to eat the ice cream without cutting into the cats, but it's fine. at this rate they're never going to eat them

Tomorrow then. We can send a small feast and save some desserts for after dinner.

lili doesn't mind this and only thinks feeding him is more convenient because there's no second spoon. but he doesn't seem to hate this and honestly neither does she]

I was going to make zunda mochi too, but if we're making this, it might have to wait.

even though she sounds genuinely confused. she's still nobility in the end, which means there was always far more food than she could ever hope to eat, on the off chance that she might want to eat any of it]

There's no point in making more than we can eat, even if some of it's going to be an offering.

[they're approaching the end of the ice cream bowl that they can eat without starting to nom on the kitties......
