As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

[ startled, he glances over his shoulder at lili, and back at sada. fractures have already begun to appear in the blade, but kara shakes his head, and stares sada down, voice quiet when he repeats the word. ]

google said that the boggart turns into something that the caster finds amusing

[ that's a good fucking question and since i can't think of anything else i guess sada is going to be tackled by a couple of konnosukes

so he falls into the dirt, complaining loudly ]

Nooo, you ruined my outfit!

[ and kara just

stares

and instinctively bites back an amused snort

[oh no

lili is just going to stop next to him and gently exclaim]

Oh, they're so cute!

[ADORABLE but at least the snort manages to affect the boggart at least a little bit, causing it to start to fade, shadows trickling back toward the closet.

LAUGH A LITTLE MORE, KARA]

[ noooo he's not comfortable laughing in front of people...

but then one of the foxes hops onto sada's head, forcing him into the dirt with a distressed yell. ]

Stooop, this is so uncool...!

[ and he can't help but laugh... just a little, though he's trying to stifle even that much, turning away from lili so she hopefully won't notice ]

[kara is making this task so hard - but apparently the boggart will grade on a curved scale, the image of sada and the konnosukes disappear back into the closet along with the broken sword

and lili will just

breathe out a sigh of relief as she notices that a key is left behind, reaching out to grab it]

Thank goodness...

[ he feels both relieved and a little sad to see them both go

but as soon as they've disappeared, his face is schooled back into neutrality so none of those feelings show. ]

We just have to take that back to her, right?

Yes...

[ . . . though she pauses for a moment, because wow that was traumatic. she looks down at the key in her hand and then back to kara]

Before that...

Come here - and lean down a bit.

[ he doesn't move yet, instead frowning at her ]

...Why?

[ what would that accomplish ]

There's something I want to tell you.

[and she'll make a beckoning motion with her hand]

Come on, you're making it take longer.

[ ..........well, fine.

he steps closer to lili and leans down as instructed. what is this about. ]

[she'll accept that, raising her arms to wrap around his shoulders in a hug. it's an odd thing, since lili isn't prone to giving affection but - it's a little hard to forget the expression on his face when his comrade first crumbled in front of him. the worry she felt when she thought he'd have to see it again if they didn't act fast enough -

so she gives him a loose hug]

... I don't know if swords do this - but sometimes hugs can convey care and concern for someone, and can be comforting. I don't... know if it works the same way. And I don't know what words to say to you, but -

I'm here and I'll be here, if you need - [me is what she would normally say, but her father's words echo in her mind, making her hesitate. no, no one could ever really need her.] - ... anything.

[me in chat, seconds before writing this tag: i want more hugs]

[ it's almost a reflex for kara to stiffen at the gesture, eyes widening in surprise... but after a moment, he relaxes into it, just a little. voice soft, he says, ]

We do.

[ and he'll even return it, very loosely, and only with one arm, but. this wasn't easy for lili either, and he trusts her not to go talking about this to anyone else. ]

[despite the fact that she initiated the hug - she similarly stiffens in surprise when he returns it? it takes a second for her to relax, to settle when she recognizes the gesture for what it is.

it makes her want to cry again, and she allows herself only a moment. just a moment where she can press her face into his shoulder, trembling ever so slightly as she tries to keep from crying. she hates feel this weak all over again - but it's fine. she trusts he won't tell anyone either.

and she'll try to force the moment to be gone as quick as it came, pulling away gently but with the clear intention that they have to move on. she wipes at her eye immediately.]

... thank you. Let's go.

[ he doesn't resist, simply letting her go and drawing back to his full height with a nod. ]
