As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Hi, um—how exactly are we supposed to beat those... monsters?

[Yeah, she's watching. That looks bad, and so Xion approaches and she's Ready.]

Laughter. [Easy for her to say.] Laughter is what defeats a boggart, but it isn't always so easy to laugh in the face of fear. [She's also moving to scrawl on a piece of paper, handing it over.

Riddikulus is written.]

This is a spell that should help. Concentrate on something you would find amusing. It takes a lot of focus, so don't give up if it doesn't work immediately! Try channeling your magic and casting it. Your element should hit it, and it will turn into something less intense.

[ xion's mentally taking notes on everything hermione imparts on her, especially paying attention to the magical advice—hermione definitely sounds like she knows what she's doing, after all! but, hm... ]

So... just focus on something funny and call it ridiculous?

Riddikulus. [Correcting! But she looks pleased with the fact that Xion seems to get it.] The proper pronunciation is important as well, otherwise it won't work effectively. Try it again.

Ri... riddikulus!

[ she's making an honest effort! it's closer than her first attempt, but she still sounds a little unsure of herself. shirasu can handle himself for a few more minutes, right... ]

[RIP Shirasu. But Hermione frowns in thought.]

Closer, but once more. Don't be afraid to try. [She's also going to pull out her wand from her pocket, holding it up but not quite pointed at anything.] Riddikulus! [It doesn't work on the boggart because, like, she's not over there, but it's to get the point across.]

[ while she's a little in awe of the confidence hermione displays, she also tilts her head as the other girl takes out her wand... where can she get one!! ]

Can... I borrow that? Will it help?

My wand? [She seems to consider this, a little unsure.] Well...it's specifically mine. Wizards can use other wands with practice, but I'm not sure how your magic would channel through it.

Though I suppose it doesn't hurt to try. [Worst case, and what Hermione assumes, is that it will literally be Xion holding a stick and using her own power. Call it research.]

Every idea is worth a shot, right?

[ gryffpuff intensifies ]

I promise I won't let anything happen to it. I'll bring it right back as soon as we take care of the monster.

Boggart. [The reflex to correct is strong. But there's a nod as she hands over the wand.]

You're both struggling, so be sure to concentrate. And please be careful. [But there's a smile. ] Good luck.

[ she's a Good Girl ]

Thank you so much for all your help... um... oh! I forgot to ask—what's your name? [ she was a little preoccupied when she first rushed over, but now she's feeling kinda rude about it... ] I'm Xion.

A pleasure to meet you, Xion. I'm Hermione Granger. [Xion is a good girl and seems very brave. It's a good quality to have. ] Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Got it—thank you, Hermione!

[ with wand in hand, she dashes back over to shirasu, whispering "riddikulus!" over and over to herself as she goes. insert that whole mess happening and them taking care of the boggart... and, as promised, xion comes trotting back over to hold out both the key and hermione's wand. shirasu is probably, like. lagging behind because he told xion not to bother pushing him anymore. rip ]

We... we did it. Thank you again for the help... I don't know if we could've done it without your advice.

[Bye Shirasu?? But Hermione's still seated and she's clapping as Xion approaches.]

I think you would have managed just fine. You just have to believe in yourself a bit more, and apply yourself. [But she holds out her hand for her wand, tucking it away and whispering a wandless spell to stop the key's struggles.] And really, I should be thanking you.
