week four: mingle
Week Four
22 in Competition
22 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.
"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."
When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.
"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.
In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

... Please remember you said you would try. [ She repeats her words emphatically. ] Your body needs rest to recuperate, but if you put it in weird positions, it can't do that.
[ Isn't he still super injured too? ]
no subject
..........what is your opinion on sleeping on the floor? For like... the spine... and stuff.
no subject
He has to know that's terrible for him. No, who is she kidding? ]
It's terrible for you. Sleep on a bed. Or if Xion has the bed, get something as a cushion for the floor.
no subject
Oh. Lots of people dropped off blankets for me. I've been burrito'd on the floor in the hall.
[ She's probably seen him, if she's made multiple trips into the hall to get to the portal. ]
no subject
Realistically, Four probably doesn't know what a burrito is, but she gets the meaning of it because she has seen him. ]
That's not good for you. Do I need to write instructions for you?
no subject
[ It's not asked in a "please do that for me" sort of way, but rather, a "would you really do that??? why" sort of way. ]
no subject
[ It's said in a "Because it seems like you really need them" kind of way. ]
Do you think you don't need them?
[ This is a fake question. ]
no subject
[ If he's going to be honest about it... ]
no subject
I thought you'd say no.
no subject
[ Minato is always self-aware.
He just doesn't act upon that awareness. ]
no subject
[ She gestures to his body that's falling apart. He only has one limb that isn't injured in some way. ]
We're having this conversation because you have trouble acknowledging needing care.
no subject
[ Does that make any sense at all... no. He tries again. ]
It's sort of like I don't need to eat mystery burgers or weird takoyaki, but if you're offering and I'm hungry, I'll take it?
no subject
It's all good helpful tips that you'd read in books written about it. Kind of like Four is just writing rote from memory. ]
Now, you have no excuse.
no subject
Can I get step by step directions for diet too?
[ Can Four write an entire "How to Live Your Life" manual for him? ]
no subject
yeah
But Minato wouldn't want Four's diet plan. It's not made for fun or mystery burgers or weird takoyaki. She writes it for him, though.
It's things like you shouldn't overcook vegetables because if you do, you’d lose a lot of nutrients. Vegetables found above ground should be left uncooked while vegetables taken from the ground should be cooked. Thus, fruits and leafy greens should be eaten raw while things like onions and potatoes should be cooked or boiled. It’s best to have a meat-to-vegetable ratio of one-to-two. It’s better to eat fruits in the mornings and to eat fish at least twice a week. Using sugar and salt too much isn’t good. Spices should be used in moderation. Etc.
Four's cooking and diet are very bland, but it's.... healthy. ]
Anything else?
no subject
yeah
Minato's been eating wrong all his life, staring down at this meal plan and trying to see how much of an adjustment he's going to have to make, and the amount of effort seems astronomical. Not worth it. But he did promise to try, so ]
You forgot the carbs.
[ It's a staple, Four, you can't just forget about the bread that makes up 89.7% of Minato's diet. ]
no subject
Four has probably read up on what a carbohydrate is by now. ]
There is no limitation on bread.
[ Because it's a staple. ]
no subject
Oh, so I was doing it right before. Just eating bread.
[ And nothing else, the staple of staples ]
no subject
Someone, have mercy on her. ]
No. You're wrong. You need to eat more than that.
no subject
Curry bread?
no subject
no subject
[ That is just sugar bread but maybe Four doesn't know that ]
no subject
I said in addition to bread. That still has the word bread in it.
no subject
[ If the filling was sugar and it's throughout the bread instead of just in between. ]
