As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.

Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

She keeps her attention on the unicorns. How do they turn from gold to silver, she wonders. ]

There are centaurs. Sometimes, they're... on fire. But they're not the most pleasant to look at. Most of the monsters that exist at home aren't beautiful like a unicorn.

I don't think I've ever heard of a centaur that lights themselves on fire. Most things that are burning aren't pleasant to look at though.

Though that sounds a bit sadder than usual, Four. [Jeez.] It's best to embrace the opportunity then.

I don't recommend meeting a Flame Centaur. [ Four wouldn't recommend meeting a lot of things from her world tbh. ] Fire is dangerous, but if it can be contained and controlled, it can be beautiful. Do you have enough control for it to be that way?

[ She shrugs. ]

I wouldn't call it sad. It's reality, isn't it? I hope this kind of peace lasts the week.

I have more control than I did when I first got here. I can create bigger flames and give them shape now, but I know how dangerous it can be. It's a bit startling.

But I'd like this to last for as long as possible as well. What do you think our chances are?

Improvement is what we should all strive for, and having caution is a boon. There's been no more smoking out your house, I hope.

[ Is she serious? Is she joking? She's probably joking. ]

I think the chances are close to zero. Until we know how to keep the corruption away, it'll be that.

Surprisingly Lili and I actually like having a house more than we like arguing with each other. [So it's fine, probably.]

I wish we knew if we even had any leads on this corruption thing. Right now it's just been whenever the universe deems our efforts worthy, and even then...you're right. The chances are close to zero despite what we actually want.

It does look like you two are getting along a lot better as the weeks go by.

[ Which is generally ideal for a partnership, forced and forged by the universe or not. ]

It would be nice if we could talk to the universe directly somehow. Perhaps we could get a clue that way.

She reminds me of someone very important to me. When I think of it like that, it's easier to know how to react to her and how to get her to calm down. [So, it's better for everyone.]

You think if we send messages like we send the lanterns to people the universe will get the hint? I've never really thought about it.

[ if four writes to the universe, will the universe write back? i'll for real send a lantern ]

... I don't think so, but I don't think it'd hurt. It could be cathartic.

[A Mystery...but probably not, so that's a bummer.]

I think all of us could use something cathartic right now. And if that doesn't work, we can always just burn letters. [Or throw things. Whatever, he's not picky about how he throws his tantrums.]

That'd be too easy for you to do. [ What with his fire powers and all. ] Would it be that much of a catharsis?

It doesn't mean it isn't effective. [Shrug.] You hear about it all the time. It's why people write in diaries and stuff like that.

Hm... I suppose that's a fair point. Would you write a burning letting to the universe, then?

I don't see why not. I have enough frustrations with this place that it might actually help to sort everything out. And it's better than writing the letters I have been writing.

What letters have you been writing?

Mostly notes to Hikaru. He won't ever see them but somehow it's better than actively ignoring it.

Hikaru? Who is that?

My brother. [There's a slight grin.] I'm always grateful that time has stopped back home because I don't want to imagine the state of affairs if he knew I was missing.

You two must be close. You must miss him a lot.

Every day. [He can admit that much, and he doesn't even seem embarrassed about it.] We're twins, so we're used to being together. I have to take notes for him to see whenever I get back.

Twins?

[ That makes her pause for a second. ]

I hope we're able to finish everything here soon, so you can reunite with him. Will he believe you?

[Give him a moment, he's going to slowly reach into his pocket and pull out his flipphone that's somehow kept just enough battery life to turn on. He turns the phone toward Four so she can see a photo, minus the detailing of what kind of type they are.]

Twins. [Once she's looked for herself, he'll snap the phone closed.] I don't know if he'll believe me, but he won't have a reason not to. Hikaru's always believed everything I've ever told him.

[ That's an odd photo. Roses? What's going on there....? ]

I'm a little... [ jealous. The admission almost slips. ] I think that kind sibling relationship is beautiful.

[Isn't promotional marketing great? He thinks nothing of it, but...his expression softens just a little.]

I wouldn't trade it for anything, even if a lot of people still don't always understand. But he needs me and I need him. So I'm writing everything so we're still in sync.

[ looks at this thread vs their last thread and laughs ]

I don't think it's something everyone needs to understand, just the people who are important to you.
