As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

... Is... your cat quite all right?

[ there's a smallish cat on julius' own shoulder. it's grim eyes' fault. don't worry about it. its ears are flattened against its skull. ]

[ The whistle gets even louder, and the cat screams louder to match. Minato doesn't seem to pay it mind, raising his voice a little too, but is more interested in the other cat. ]

Hisoka's fine. What's your cat's name?

Lulu. Also, I don't know whether I should be concerned or not that you named the cat Hisoka, but I'm pretty sure the noise is distressing him.

[ it's not even calico or particularly colorful. why saddle a poor, non-clown cat with that name. the noise is also treating lulu great, and by great i mean the poor cat's fur is just this side of beginning to bristle. ]

Hi, Lulu.

[ He pats Lulu on the head, which probably just causes more bristling. Hisoka's pretty much entirely poofed up already. ]

Hisoka's a nice name. The noise... I can't figure out how to turn it off. It actually sounds louder, now. Can you help?

There's also Aurel, but I think he's probably off terrorizing the mice population somewhere. And level with me a moment, if you'd never met the Hisoka from here would you still think it's a nice name?

[ or is minato just biased. ]

And ... I don't actually know. I could try, maybe, but ... have you figured out any particular pattern for how it sounds?

[ ...maybe he's just biased. Instead of answering that question, Minato answers the other one by shaking his head as he hands it over. ]

It's just loud and louder.

Have you managed to figure out if there's anything in specific that makes it get louder? Maybe we can work backwards from that.

[ is minato handing it over all bundled up and muffled though, or is it free whistling and cat agitating. ]

[ It's bundled up and muffled, but that's still not enough to shut it up completely and the cat at Minato's feet has been yowling and hissing and spitting this entire time because of it, probably. ]

Well... It got louder just a couple of minutes ago.

[ He looks down at his feet. ]

Maybe it's based off location. Like how a metal detector works.

Hm. Might be. I wond- Lulu no!

[ that exclamation would be because, as he reaches out to take the bundle, Lulu tackles it. sound bad, hiss,

it's probably a good thing that it's bundled up so it doesn't break honestly. ]

[ Oh- Oh, okay, the bundles falls to the ground and Hisoka takes that as a cue to jump at it too, batting it away like the cat toy it obviously is. Minato... doesn't really want to get in the way of cat claws and their toy, so, uh, Julius can handle this one. ]
