week five: mingle
Week Five
22 in Competition
22 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.
"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."
When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.
"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

Welcome to your week five mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be having another CYOA this week! Sign ups are here and will close on Tuesday at 8 AM PST.
In addition, ensure that all of your week four private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Is it that bad?
no subject
[ Minato "I don't care about anything" Arisato seems to care enough to know Fear for once in his life, so that must say something. ]
no subject
You're more hesitant than usual to admit it, so it must be... [ Bad. ] What kind of bet was this?
no subject
[ sort of ]
It's something I'd like to keep between me and the other party. If possible.
no subject
Fine. I understand. [ She quickens the pace to the kitchen. ]
How good are you with making tea?
[ Has he improved since his cooking competition....... has he asked Shirasu how to make tea...... ]
no subject
I made that flower tea that one time, but people didn't seem to care for it. I'm good at coffee, though. I made it a lot.
no subject
Coffee?
[ There's a blank look on her face because coffee apparently wasn't introduced to Europe until the 1500s
wait fuck tea was also introduced to Europe in the 1500s i'm handwaving her discovery of tea PLEASE DON'T @ ME ANYONE ]
no subject
[ Minato's coffee is... well. Anyways, he hopes the coffee experience will be memorable, if not enjoyable. ]
no subject
I'll try it. It's... beneficial to have new experiences.
[ It has to be better than his tea? Pray for her (don't). ]
no subject
[ It doesn't even matter if they're good or bad experiences, just something new. But he still likes his coffee, no matter how much he drinks, no matter how different it is when he makes it compared to how a professional does it in a cafe.
Four might appreciate it, though?
When they get to the kitchen and Minato starts up the coffee maker, it's just... black coffee. No milk, no cream, no sugar, nothing. It's black bean water. Healthy. Probably. ]
no subject
She can't hide the grimace when she first tastes black coffee. ]
It's so bitter.
[ She didn't know what she was expecting, but it wasn't this. ]
no subject
[ Minato takes a long swig of coffee. It burns his mouth, ouch. ]
But it smells nice, doesn't it?
no subject
Four takes in the aroma. ]
Hm... It does. It kind of smells... sophisticated?
no subject
Right? I can't seem to get it right, but there's a cafe back home that makes good coffee. Raises your charm stat and everything.
[ Maybe it would be closer if he put something more than just coffee bean and water. ]
no subject
... Charm stat?
[ What in any world is that? ]
no subject
Yeah. I drank a lot of coffee. Do you think I'm charming?
no subject
What? What kind of question is that?
[ She is avoiding answering it. ]
no subject
A serious question. Do you think I'm charming?
no subject
I choose not to answer that serious question.
no subject
I answered your question. Sort of.
no subject
... I don't see how drinking coffee is supposed to make you more charming.
no subject
It's something that's easier to show than explain, I think. If you join me for coffee a couple times, I could show you.
no subject
She narrows her eyes at him. ]
... If this ends up being a joke, you have to take responsibility.
