Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

I wouldn't call it shocked, but really, there must be other more important reunions for you to be getting to. I've barely been gone at all.

Just curious. So to put it the way you did- why would you decide to speak to me, just cause, even already knowing what conversations with me tend to be like?

Just in case you were hoping the existential and morality discussions were the darkness, I'm going to tell you now that no, that was all just me. Sorry to disappoint.

Trust me, existential and morality discussions aren't darkness, they're exactly smack dab in the in-between spectrum.

By the way, might I ask why someone who quite literally has "assassination, doing "icky" jobs," and "lying" on his profile apparently didn't offer any pointers-- or, I don't know, commit the deed himself? The events of Thursday night were horribly and needlessly inefficient.

I maintain that if anyone had simply asked me, things would have gone much more easily for them-- but as that was never going to happen in the first place, someone should have taken up that slack.

I'm not gonna argue about planning skills or lack thereof when the subject's how you got murdered.

I meant why not bother arguing just because it's my own death as opposed to someone else's, but I suppose I'll just take that as you figuring that defending your element is impossible.

And yet, here we are, mostly alive.

[ he looks faintly, thinly amused before-

cool cool cool, more glitches. being contorted into shapes and blocks and colors like that can't be comfortable, but when he's properly semisolid again he doesn't even look bothered. ]

I wasn't aware this was a competition.

[ he waits for a second while he glitches, looking curious and a little concerned, but if he's shrugging it off, then. ]

It's not, but it's like the one thing we've got going for us.
