week seven: mingle
Week Seven
13 in Competition
13 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.
"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."
When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.
"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Welcome to your week seven mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also have a mini-event this week on Tuesday at 12pm PST. Of note, this mini-event will be different, so please stay tuned for more info!
In addition, ensure that all of your week six private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

Can't say I see why. It's only saving one of us any trouble here, and it's not me.
Though again, my question stands. What do you need out of me?
[ because that's clearly the only reason anyone alive should be speaking to him??? ]

[ julius, learn some optimism ]
I don't need anything out of you. I know your life's kinda bleak, but are you really that shocked that anyone would wanna speak to you just 'cause?

[ he's trying to save lea the emotional labor of talking to him needlessly, ffs? something something not getting invested means less to miss yadda yadda, minimizing his impact on the others here. keep up. ]
I wouldn't call it shocked, but really, there must be other more important reunions for you to be getting to. I've barely been gone at all.

[ :T ]
You can tell me to buzz off if that's what you want, man.

[ also, just because he's tsun-kuu doesn't discount the fact that he still. answered the goddamn summon. ]
Just curious. So to put it the way you did- why would you decide to speak to me, just cause, even already knowing what conversations with me tend to be like?

[ it's a saix joke ]

[ why does he sound like he's speaking from experience about a subject that makes no sense. ]

[ ... ]
By the way, might I ask why someone who quite literally has "assassination, doing "icky" jobs," and "lying" on his profile apparently didn't offer any pointers-- or, I don't know, commit the deed himself? The events of Thursday night were horribly and needlessly inefficient.

Believe me, they came up with that whole plan all on their own. [ he sounds exhausted ]

[ Android super weak against electricity goes after teen with lightning powers. There is nothing that could possibly have gone wrong with this? ]
I maintain that if anyone had simply asked me, things would have gone much more easily for them-- but as that was never going to happen in the first place, someone should have taken up that slack.

[ the murder details had all already been decided ooc :/ ]

[ between lea and emma who's more suited for murder here. is it actually emma ]
You're an assassin who simply followed the marks set out for him, didn't you?
no subject
[ but he shrugs and doesn't comment on the assassin thing because. he hates it thank ]

cool cool cool, more glitches. being contorted into shapes and blocks and colors like that can't be comfortable, but when he's properly semisolid again he doesn't even look bothered. ]
I wasn't aware this was a competition.

It's not, but it's like the one thing we've got going for us.
