week seven: mingle

Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Welcome to your week seven mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also have a mini-event this week on Tuesday at 12pm PST. Of note, this mini-event will be different, so please stay tuned for more info!

In addition, ensure that all of your week six private conversations were reported on the page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

He did.

Is that unusual?
leaberator: (do you want a healthy snack axel)

Nah... Well, a little, but it ain't bad.

[ ANYWAY!!! PLOT ]

He sent me the same thing. It makes sense-- the less people we have, the more affected by everything Sol and Lune have been, same as the rest of us.

[she pins him with a curious look for a brief moment--then lets him wriggle away, nodding.]

It does form a terrible logic.

Worse still, I fear the idea of one, or both of them, being corrupted.

... You think it might go that far?

[ it's said with the tone of someone who's also thought about it and uh hated it a lot ]

Considering what they know of all of us, and our relations to each other and themselves, I feel certain the corruption is only waiting for a sliver of a chance.
leaberator: (no???)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-07-25 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe, but... Why would they be vulnerable to it now?
tothemaxwell: (and ready to drop)

Our hosts once inhabited a different place and time, in different bodies. I do not think it odd that they are not above the shadows in their own hearts.

Can any of us say we truly are?
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

I could name a few people.

[ but it's muttered to himself. ]

They're still directly connected to the universe. If they can get corrupted...

[hm. sounds like kingdom hearts shenanigans.]

...then the universe could be, as well.

And that must be prevented at all costs, don't you agree?
leaberator: (i like you a lot maybe we could)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-07-26 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously. We've come all this way, I'd rather we not trip right at the finish line.
