Week Eight
9 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find three large, swirling masses grey in color looming near the sakura tree. These swirls cannot be approached just yet, but seem to be locked and waiting for something more. Later in the day, if those in the village approach the third mass they will find themselves in a version of their home world. This world is completely void of people, but seems to be just as they last remember it. No darkness will be found in this world as well.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. They don't speak immediately, but wait for all to settle.

[It's fine, he gets it.] I appreciate the vote of confidence.

[papawolf]

[ Just going to reach over to give him a head pat. It's the hair it screams pat me. ]

[He accepts it for maybe .5 seconds before he's swiftly dodging out of the way. Only a few people have been chosen to give headpats. Sorry, Feral.]

It's not that weird, is it? [He at first assumes it's because he's a child, then he wonders if it's his hair and then he decides maybe it isn't even that important.]

[papawolf]

[ Shaking his head. ]

Not weird. Reminds me of someone.

[doublebladed]

[He tilts his head.]

Someone you miss?

[papawolf]

[ Giving a nod. ]

Meela

[ Holding his hand to about a foot shorter than he is. Look smaller people exist, Roxas. ]

[doublebladed]

And...who is Meela to you?

[papawolf]

A pest

[ And then after another moment... ]

Like a younger sibling?

[ He has no memories of what it's like to have family so he's guessing from what a friend told him. ]

[doublebladed]

Oh. [He doesn't quite know what that's like either, but he can sort of guess.] I guess that makes sense. It's been so long since you guys have been home...do you miss it?

[Some people do not.]

[papawolf]

[ Rubbing the back of his neck before giving a nod. ]

I miss it

[ He misses it more than he thought possible ]

[doublebladed]

...I'm guessing you don't have a card for this, but...what was it like?

[papawolf]

[ He doesn't unless they want to pretend the weird bread loaf Minato drew counts.

Thinking for a moment before he writes. ]

Warm. I camped outdoors with Meela and another pest.

[doublebladed]

You didn't have a house or anything? What were you doing there?

[papawolf]

[ There's a pause as he figures out how to put this into words. ]

I'm a mercenary. I move place to place to complete jobs.
Easier.

[ A pause before he taps his own cheek just under his red eye. ]

People tend to notice.

[doublebladed]

[Pardon him for peering at Feral's face a little closer to get a better look. Right. There is that, isn't there?]

But then where's home for you? With those two people? [He can understand that concept, even if he's not entirely sure he gets what a mercenary is. He's not unfamiliar with the concept of moving around for jobs, at least.]

[papawolf]

[ He has one green eye and one red.

Giving a nod. ]

Meela and Holland

[Definitely the same concept, and this time there's a different, almost softer grin.]

I get that. It hasn't been the same as it should be, but...this place has been kind of home for me, too, because of some of the people here.

[papawolf]

[ He'll dig through his cue cards before finding a crappy drawing of a red hedgehog with green eyes. Pointing at it.

Then he'll find three cards ]
