As the sun rises on Saturday morning, all will be quiet and still in the village. Not a single soul stirs as the sun and the moon linger in the sky, visible should anyone look.

A shimmer of stars spark through the air as a swirl of darkness lifts from the village. Everything has returned to as it once was, all 16 houses in-tact and all buildings precisely as they were before. Beams of light follow, soaring through the air and delivering every single participant back to this plane of existence.

As participants gather their wits and take in their surroundings, they'll find that a celebratory banquet has been prepared for them not unlike the one that originally greeted them. Decorations hang from the rafters and windows as lively music plays and can be heard in every part of the village. Some may even be able to trace the source to a gathering of musical instruments, and even...a turntable? Strange. All manner of fruits and vegetables appear to be perfect for harvest, and a variety of freshly cooked dishes from across many worlds can be found on display at the tables in the center. If you don't see your favorite dish? All of the ingredients can be found, along with amenities to make it yourself.

Surrounding the center of the village, several gateways open one by one, a soft gold glow emitting from them. No dangers linger in these parts, but adventure awaits those who wish to find it. Likewise, silver gateways open alongside these and serve as portals that allow participants to return to their homeworlds whenever they're ready.

Your Oracle Bells are in working condition, all messages saved from your time here and featuring a new network feature. Even as you leave this world, you're only 140 characters away from the friends you've come to cherish. Look around at those who join you today. Look hard enough, and you may even find some familiar faces you haven't seen for a very, very long time.

Though your time in this village draws to a close, the universe has settled and found a path to follow. You will always have a place here should you wish to return, and even when you depart for your next destination, your strength and power will follow you.

Your gratitude will be remembered, participants. Congratulations.



Happy endgame, friends! Thank you guys for a fun nine weeks! Here's a breakdown of what's happening in this post.

-All participants have been revived.
-All locations from the game have been opened, including the locations of the CYOAs.
-All characters' homeworlds can be visited.
-Castmates will be able to come through these world portals and play with the game's cast! So feel free to tag each other, etc.
-The Oracle Bells now have a universal network! We have a post over in the free-for-all meme comm so please just spam each other to your heart's content.
-All elemental powers will remain with characters when they leave! This includes their special skills.
-And yes, all injuries are healed and all characters will remember their time here.

I want to show you something. Come with me? [Is he going to explain? No. Are they going to talk about Friday? Absolutely not.]

[ she takes his hand immediately, because why wouldn't she. ]

Cool. [And hand in hand, they begin to walk and he's leading her to his own portal. People have been dipping in and out this whole time, so he sees nothing wrong with showing her a taste of the future.

Stepping through, he brings her to a beach that she'll recognize as Destiny Islands, thanks to Sora's memories and the like. The sun is warm and the ocean's bright. The breeze smells like salt and fruit and Roxas looks out to the sand before he grins at her.]

I though one more beach trip was a good idea for us.

[ she probably should have expected it, when he started heading for the portals. but when they get to the other side of it, she still can't help but be surprised.

even though roxas had told naminé they'll be here one day, it's... different. being told versus actually feeling the breeze on your face. ]

It's beautiful.

Right? I didn't believe it when we first got here, but it's really just like this. [He seems excited and he's going to start leading her along the sand. Come, come.] The water's always a little warm...and there's all kinds of seashells and fish. The main island isn't that far, but this is the play island everyone comes to.

We'll get to spend even more time here someday soon.

[ she knows all of this already, of course, from sora's memories. naminé can point out every spot on this island without ever actually being here before on herself. ]

It still sounds like a dream.

[To him, there's always something different about being able to experience these things for yourself and seeing them through someone else's memories. Naminé of all people would be the one to know all of the finest details of the island, given her role in their lives, and yet it's still different.]

For now, maybe. [There's a pause.] I don't know how much we'll remember when we leave and the flow of time starts again, but I wanted to bring you here so you'd remember we're not going to forget you or leave you behind.

[In the future, Naminé has her own body and her own will, but he knows in her timeline...they're both equally trapped, more or less. Even a little sliver of hope is better than nothing.]

[ ... she doesn't really want to admit that she would have assumed they would forget her. in the future, she kind of admits it to sora, but that conversation hasn't happened to her yet.

for now, she crouches down to pick up a seashell. ]

I hope we don't forget anything. Even if it kind of gives me a headache to think about it.

[He remains standing just to let her have time to herself, even as he's watching the waves roll over the shore.]

I don't think we will. A lot of people wished to remember the time here and the people here, didn't they? I think that might've made it happen for all of us. We're probably not going to understand it when we get back, but what else is new?

... what do we say to the others?

not sure how they'll take it, but this is sort of the kind of thing they can't keep to themselves. ]

[...he scratches the back of his head nervously.] Do we have to tell them?

I feel like... the whole thing with the universe and corruption is something we should warn them about, in case something like this happens again. But...

[ she uh

isn't too sure about explaining the murder. ]

Good point. [But he doesn't want to??] We should probably get together with everybody else before we split up and make sure we're going to tell the same story. Nobody's going to question all of us going to different worlds filled with darkness, at least.

[...] The powers might be harder to explain for some of you though. [And by some he literally means just Naminé because the rest of them have used some form of magic before.]

We'll have to tell the others that story, too, to make sure nobody messes it up. If all of us are on the same page that'll make it sound more believable, too.
