On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

I just like seeing everyone interact. There haven't been a lot of times where all of us have been gathered together like this.

It is understandable. The young one and I are in similar situations. The same could be said of many others here.

I explained to your companion that for the time being, time has stopped where you all were before this moment. It will not proceed without you, but I understand that means that many things were left unresolved.

However if matters here are not taken care of, I worry that it will not be possible to return you to your places at all.

[ . . . and they'll let their gaze drift to the sky for a moment]

Even so... until we receive more answers as to how to move forward, it did not seem right to leave everyone to brood and stew in uncertainty. A negative outlook may drain the mind and body faster than any illness.

And so...

Please take the food to strengthen yourselves again, and the chance to relax briefly before the real work begins.

I can still complain, but maybe not as loudly as I would. [He's. Waiting? Take his hand!!] It's not that hard to learn. We taught Haruhi pretty quickly.

[ and she means it, since this has been... nice. it's something very different from what she's used to doing, and it shows with how she keeps turning slightly to watch the skirt swish. ]

Are you concerned about an imminent disappearance?

Though given your partner in this sense... would he not just appear again when you least expect it?

[She stalls, trying to form thoughts in a way that will make sense to someone else, but really all it does is make her look flighty. Probably]

I enjoy cooking for everyone! And dancing, too. And acting. And just... being around other people, I suppose.

[She can't begin to imagine how much Toki empathizes with the play, and so Nana is just. struck dumb by the sudden onslaught of tears. Oooh dear, this is not what she expected]

Rikugou-san... It's okay. It's a play, after all. Sometimes they don't have happy endings.

[Mmmm mentally fumbling before she finally goes to pat him on the shoulder, an attempt to cheer him up]

This is called a waltz. They're three-step dances.

[One-two-three, one-two-three~ Nana hums out the steps so that her partner can follow along to the rhythm.]

See? It makes it easier to dance when you know how many beats there are.

I'm sure your master would be proud of your work.

I love tasting your food.

[It's a rare day when Nana isn't the one making meals for everyone.]

... Does this mean you're a chef, if your master was teaching you to cook?

[there's a bit of a laugh at that

Then it seems as though our captors know what they're doing. [He turns to pick up another one to take a bite.] Keep that.

Then perhaps we ought to discover how it was done?

[ she nods her head in understanding, and starts mentally counting along now that she knows. ]
