On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[Suddenly, she's being dragged along. She didn't expect it, which is why she doesn't resist. She bellows:]

Help with what?!

[yokeye]

[The bellowing startles him, and Toki looks back to see exactly who he's tried to drag along.]

Sorry! Nevermind! I can find it myself!

[liversandhyenas]

Yes, clearly. Which is why you were so desperate you grabbed the first person that came along.

[She doesn't believe it not even for a second]

I'm not going to bite your face off for asking for help, if that's what you're so worried about.

[yokeye]

[He doesn't pick up on the sarcasm.]

Then we're in agreement! I can find it~!

[He waves and walks away, a little too quickly.]

[liversandhyenas]

No you can't!

[She tries to grip him from his clothes]

Are you always this stubborn or is it only when I'm around?!

[yokeye]

[He doesn't try to pull away from her, but he's kind of surprised she stopped him.]

What? I wasn't being stubborn! You agreed with me! But if you like really want to help this much, I suppose you can~!

[liversandhyenas]

I will! I'll help you and you will like it.

[It takes her a moment before...]

...what did I get myself into?

[Somehow she figures she should have gotten the details before doing anything]

[yokeye]

Forceful~! I like that in a lady~!

[She's a hyena, but there's potential.]

So, my lovely canine friend, what I want help with is finding where that music is coming from! Maybe you can tell better than a human!

[liversandhyenas]

[Grim Eyes snickers. Smooth, Toki, real smooth]

Fine, I'll try.

[She indicates him to stay silent for a moment while she listens. This music...]

I dunno why, it's like it's coming from everywhere at once. Maybe it's actually in our heads or something.

[yokeye]

Oh. My. God. Oh my god! Why would say something like that!? What if it is in our heads! There's some kind of magic beam of music going straight into our brains! This is crazy! Why would they do that!? Just to mess with us and laugh while we try and figure out where it's coming from!? Are we just here for someone's amusement!?

[Now he's not really talking to Grim Eyes any longer, but looking up at the sky and ranting at whoever's up there.]

WE DO NOT EXIST FOR YOUR AMUSEMENT, YOU ASSHOLES!

[liversandhyenas]

[That sure went from 0 to 100 in two seconds. Grim Eyes steps back, like she's concerned Toki is going to go insane and start throwing stuff at her]

It's just music, it could be worse! It could be them talking directly into your head, that'd be much worse!

[That's not really helping, is it]

[yokeye]

[Toki's attention is brought back from the sky at her comment.]

THAT'S SO MUCH WORSE! Maybe it's already happening and it's not words we can understand, but their communications are influencing our every decision and thought!

[They don't even have individual thoughts any longer.]

[liversandhyenas]

If their voices are musical instruments then they're not going to influence anybody! You're worrying too much.

[Or maybe you're just a bit too dense, Grim Eyes. She's not stupid, but she's kind of dense sometimes]

[yokeye]

... Does it have to be understood to be influencing?

[She's confused him.]

[liversandhyenas]

Of course it has to! How can you give orders if whoever hears you can't even understand what you're telling them to do? You can't let stuff get lost in translation.

[She says as if it's the most obvious thing in the world]

[yokeye]

It could be the sounds themselves, like the tone and things!?

[He has no idea what's going on.]

Wait. What language are you speaking!? Is it like hyena? Because I shouldn't be able to understand you, right!? Yet somehow I do! So~! The answer is clearly that the music isn't being perceived as language to us, but it is to our brains!

[After he says it, he realizes it makes no sense, even to him.]
